Not a Ford guy, but I really appreciate that they give you the option to get the push button locker in pretty much any trim, and that you can still get a V8 without any displacement on demand nonsense. At this point, Ford would be my pick if I were shopping for a V8 truck.
@@LazyHobo32 oh I did not know that! Thanks for the info. Hopefully they have better luck with it than GM. I really like the GM V8 engines, but not with the DOD issues.
The only real benefit of the FX4 package (to me) is the skid plates. I like having them for road debris more than I’ve needed them off road. May be able to buy aftermarket skid plates for less. 🤷🏼♂️
I want to buy F150 FX of road but there 2 engines V8 5.0 letter and engine 3,5 town turbo I need your advice model 2024 🎉 we have 2 engines in Saudi Arabia only
@@TexasTruckChannelAwesome thanks! That’s pretty light for a 4x4 crew cab. Gotta love that aluminum body! One reason to stay away from the luxury trims, the cheaper trucks are faster!
I can’t stand that whine from the 10 speed! I have a 21 just like this and it’s so loud and annoying I’ve had guys asked if it’s electric or turboed many times. Unacceptable from ford imo
Mine 2023 sounds the same. The sound is noticeable to roughly 15 mph. Not to mention I don’t believe I’ve ever seen 2nd gear. It jumps from first to third with very slight throttle and even on the deceleration. I miss my 6speed 2017 ford f150 2.7
This video seems to mainly be a test. Obviously you could get some momentum and send it. It just shows the difference of RWD and the rear diff lock and 4WD.
Cant do momentum with american trucks its too long and too low by ratio....ranger or navara or hilux with just regular tires would eat any american truck bcz of the ration hight length and japanese ones have short overhang kn the front wheels...very effective in climbing. Look at the land cruiser 70 2 doors@@chrispewkreme
actually a great demonstration of 2WD vs 4WD vs 4WD with rear locker!

The 5.0 has had cylinder deactivation since '21 model year. No common problems reported yet at least

I’m at 73.000 km so far and absolutely o issues
@josipdolic6391 gotta write in miles bud, to lazy to Google km to miles conversion
@@bye92 lol divide or multiply by 1.6….so “currently at 45.000 miles” my comment would be
Nice! Always liked Ford for full size V8. The rear locker is a great addition that really makes a difference.

Fx4 also gives hill decent control and better shocks
I bought mine in 22 during shortage of trucks and that means no locker in my truck.Basically bought what was available and accepted
Still one heck of a truck

Are all the 4x4 packages have a pushbutton locker?
I like it. Needs a bedliner and leather and we are good to go 🤣
Get leather seat covers for now til you find some good leather seats 😊
Katzkin has you covered!
The leather they use isn't great.
Spray in liners should come standard in all trucks. I can live without leather though.
A rear locker is a must imo. A front is even better! Also, those are all-season tires... some good hybrids or MTs would have done better.
So what you're saying is a BDS 4 inch lift kit and a Toyo Open country's will help off road depending on the driver even if its not an FX4?

Personally we would for 5.0 for the character. Nothing wrong with a 3.5 though. It’s actually faster off the show room floor.
No reason not to put in 4lo there... you like that color?
Love the color. And absolutely, we just try to see how vehicles do on the hill using as few tools as possible to get up.
Yep I enjoy the reviews. In the past you pulled tires off to look at brakes, suspension, etc. Things we can't do when shopping. This was helpful too.
@@TexasTruckChannel thoughts on f150 lariat or tremor v. new tundra? I've seen your reviews of both. TIA
Great video! Would you guys be able to go over the curb weight for the trucks you review?
You bet, we will work on that in future episodes. This trucks curb weight is roughly 4,700 lbs.

The whine is from the turbos.

Maybe you should take some off road driving courses!

Own a Raptor 2022 Would you recommend me to sell the Raptor and buy F150 V8 2024

My Nissan Frontier would walk up that “hill” without ever having to put it in 4WD.
Bring it out, we would love to see it.

Youre own your own brother
Maybe it would. The problem is, however, when you reach the top of the hill, you still own a nissan Frontier 🤣
