I received some Mexicolas and made a video but some believe they are MGs. It's possible and they can also be from a seedling. Great tree! I just saw Jeff's in Modesto and it had more fruit than I have evee seen on a MG.@joestropicals6760
Hi Joe i would love to purchase some of these for my microclimate in North London. Do you know the website that Moebius ordered these avocados from. Also i would love to buy one of your grafted avocados once you’re selling them.
@LondonPlantlover, unfortunately they were not purchased online they come from France. Unfortunately because of Brexit, European nurseries will rarely ship plants to the uk. I can definitely keep a Mexicola for you once I start grafting 👍🏾
@@joestropicals6760 Wow, there has been a lot of work too get get the "Mexicola" variety into London, however I'm glad somebody is finally working to grow these avocados in the UK. I am very excited to watch these grow on your channel, keep us updated!
Lovely healthy avocado trees, Joe! Mexicola grande is meant to be very hardy so a great variety to try here in the UK 🙌. I’d be interested in purchasing one of your grafted avocados in the future.
Hey Peter, I’m really chuffed to get this variety. I’ve been Looking for the Mexicola for years 😂 I’d be more than happy to supply you with a grafted Mexicola Grande in the not so distant future 🙌🏾
You said you had many Mexico Grande seedlings And you plan on selling them. Just a thought, you should make sure that most of the people that are buying them plan on planting them in their yard. Mexico Grande takes into the low 20s degreesF. Living in more temperate London at 51.5 degrees North latitude puts you guys on the cutting edge of avo culture. You guys could learn a lot about their needs. I live in San Diego county CA about 22 miles to the Pacific, a good area for growing avos in the US. I am in a cold and windy spot often dropping into the mid 20’s F every year. I have found that even on a cold still night of 25 degrees F, my Reed avo is not damaged at all, the books say it is damaged below 30 degrees F. None of my trees have been damaged by cold. Mine are damaged by dry winds locally called Santa Anna winds. Good luck and thanks for sharing
Hi Mike, lovely to hear from someone living in San Diego ☀️ I’ll definitely let people who I sell the Mexicola seedlings know, that they can plant in their yards. Living in London is great, as we can grow quite a few fruit trees which the rest of the Uk would really struggle growing. Fortunately for you living in sunny ☀️ San Diego, you can grow all sorts of fruit trees we can’t grow here. But hay! We can’t have it all 😂
Your Mexicola look fantastic, Joe. Glad you're happy with the specimens. Look forward to seeing them flourish under your care and to see your grafting project. Great stuff. 👍🏽
Exciting times ahead Joe, I'm looking forward to seeing the progress of the seedlings over Winter 👍
Thanks Brett, exciting times indeed! 😃
This one produces very heavily in northern california!
@@growyourownavocados , I’m really looking forward to it fruit for me at some point

Nice video Joe, I really like the Mexicola Grande variety. Beautiful tree!
Thanks Johnny, I’m really excited about this variety 😃
Hi Joe, Those tall tubes or tubs in which the Avocado trees are growing looks real interesting. Were the trees growing in those pots at the nursery?
Hi Mike, they are interesting pots indeed!
I think they were the pots the avocado’s came in.

@Moebius, I’m very happy with both specimens. I’m really looking forward to how they grow and mature for me.
Great news Joe, Please include me on your list for a mexicola seedling.
Thanks Mike. I’ve put your name down for a future Mexicola Grande plant 🌱
Thanks Joe@@joestropicals6760
