Great video! We wanted to visit the Sequoias during our trip last summer, but the wildfires were raging. Hoping to take our Hiker out west sometime this Summer, if we can finagle the time off. Thanks for the great view of these majestic beauties!
I was just up there and the fires have devastated everything around the land marks. It looks like the fire crews stood their ground at 100 Giants but the fire was all around it. Lots of forestry crews up there now cutting down trees and stacking logs. Search fire areas before you go because there are a lot of closed areas. And call Sacramento and tell those idiots they know nothing of managing forest. These trees are 2 to 3 thousand years old and survived many a fire until government started managing them. Were those trees were that old.
James Dierx is correct, unfortunately the entire area we camped was affected by the Windy fire a few months after our trip. Last time I checked they may reopen Trail of 100 Giants in June, however the surrounding forest will still be closed.

Are you willing to share any of the files for you camp spots? We're traveling there in June from Virginia.
Heads up! You won't be able to camp in this area due to the Windy fire of October 2021. They are lucky they were able to camp there when they did!
