Nick, no idea what's gone wrong with the channel. It's fun informative, well produced and stylish but TH-cam seems to have decided the algorithm no longer likes you. I hope these videos start getting the views they deserve again. Also, do a kickflip
Open frame "cases" have become more popular in the SFF world, and as long as you don't have kids, pets, clumsy family that spill things, and/or poor maintenance skills they're a real treat to work with.
I really don't get the point of open sff cases, like you're building in an unrestricted space why even bother going small? You could just buy a normal open frame and put in small components and it would have the same volume. Like the case in the video here, the whole point of using a sandwich layout is for better GPU temps and compatibility in small cases but here it makes no sense. If it's for looks, don't you want to look at all of your components at the same time? And isn't it just better to buy a normal sff case but don't use the side panel so that you can also have the option to close it when you want to? I've been building in sff cases ever since I got into PC building so it's not like I don't get sff but just the open sff cases don't make sense to me
@@dandyNDSFF is about looks 90% of the time. Most SFF users choose their case first, and their components second. That doesn't exclude them from wanting top tier performance and value, but it does limit what they can get. This case, is an aesthetic that will appeal to some, and not others. Practically, it's going to have limitations as mentioned, but all SFF cases do. I built an Xtia XProto XL and will straight up admit I liked the way the case looked more than the performance. Yes, I do wish I could see all the sides of it at the same time. I rotate every once in a while so I can see it from different angles. But I also like that sandwich look it has. SFF is, ultimately, more about personal expression than functional usage. Excluding those that truly need the small space of course.
@@Revenant_Knight now with the 500w GaN Aio psu availible the possibility of higher tier (talking higher than x60 / x70 class from nvidia) and allows you to safely go up in class if your wiling to go with lower tier cpus.
@@mikeymaiku Well that's more for the sub-7L builds. If you want to go with something int he 10L to 15L range you have a lot more options. I'm running various systems ranging from a 4L Densium with a 4060/5600X combo to a Slate case with a 13900K and 3080. The Xtia is my test bench.
They could have made the case capable of longer power supplies and moved the button to a different location, like on the front with some additional ports for convenance. Optionally longer frame pieces for extra wide or long GPU support. They make a similar cheaper open air case. XWORKS X32
For me I will keep using my MakerBeam proof-of-concept 11 liter open chassis that fits 135mm tall air cooler & 140mm front fan. Not a fan of riser cables. Excellent presentation.
i bought this case. the most hardest part is finding a psu that can fit. i purchased a sfx thermal take 1000w psu but had to return that. then i bought a sp850w lian li psu just to realise the psu is to tall and does not fit with the holes to the case!!
I see the studio is a Bindi-free-zone while the open air cases are out and about. This looks amazing but as a dual-cat owner it's a non-starter for me!
Genuinely curious, where can you buy this in Aus becuase I’m struggling to find it. And searching online for the case is a bit messy. Cheers for the video.
I when down the rabbit hole with the ITX build several times and it is worth/not-worth it at the end because you have to learn compromise for the build. Instead, I am looking forward to Lian Li/DAN A3-mATX/ITX case ($70) soon to be release. For this case in this video; yea it looks great, but it is too pricey for what it's worth, and that it just mine opinion.
I NEED thst cable management midfle box... inside an actual ITX sandwich case. Yeah you waste a bit of volume, but it looks so much cleaner and easy to work with
no problem at all! I have this case and am im using a SF750 as well. It fits perfectly and routes perfectly. The cables provided are a near perfect length. The cables fit perfectly all around.
If you go to buy a DA6 XL you get the rod mounts at 310mm if you want to wast money. The parts kit is sold out. I looked. That would be the cleanest look. or buy the smaller set and source the thin rods your self.
I love the idea of this case, but for it to connect to a desk so I can make a hybrid desk case with cooling and all sorts of stupid expensive shit which serves non purpose apart from being cool in design
I watched "this part of the video" just to see what else you'd add. Must be honest though, this case is not for me. In fact it isn't even a case is it? I just don't get it. Yes there's no cables on display but then there's the bare minimum of cables with this build anyway. If you don't have kids, pets, clumsy family then it's clearly for single folk who have no dust in their converted warehouse apartments
I now have this Case with a RTX 4090 FE. During a 1hr benchmark with the GPU running at 100%, It never broke 57C. Also scores 36974 points on 3d mark while never breaking 54C. You should try things before you give your negative opinion. I almost didn't get this case, which was by far my first choice for my build, because your opinionated review which had no factual basis to back your claim. You had the 4090 FE right there to try it out, a luxury most don't. Lazy much? Do better!
SFF efficiency isn't for everyone and thats OK. But if you're after max quality that takes up minimum amount of space, something like this is brilliant. It would be literally impossible to build inside a case like this if it came fully preassembled

Nick, I am commenting because you said no one would comment. I always watch your videos all the way through because you rock!
This is the best video I have seen for this. Thanks for giving us all the ins and outs on it so we know how to plan our build appropriately.
+1 for DMX reference
I love these open frame cases and have been itching to switch to one. Love the showcase and build guide, amazing video once again!
They should create a plate that attaches to the top to hold a radiator.
Knock-knock, open up the door it's real
With the non-stop, pop-pop from stainless steel
my 70 xFrame is coming in monday :3
I acceopt your dare. Good job on the review. Informative and entertaining.
can’t tell what u did different with the lighting and camera angles in this video but it’s sick
It's probably the fact that the studio is brand new lol
Throw your ❌s up for the king! RIP DMX

Waiting for a kid to call this the Deadpool song.
Wow, I really didn't foresee how that was going to end!
Were there custom cables used in this build? Or were they the cables that came with the psu?
I like the look of this case. That open look is clean especially since the cables are hidden. Temps will benefit too.
You have no idea how difficult TH-cam makes it to comment on this video from mobile on a tablet. Since I made it from to the end of the video.
For what it is, its pretty damn clean.
Cool frame. I like how it looks.
I'm commenting to say i watched that part of the video. BOOM! Thought i was scared eh!

Nice work! Actually interested in this case for LAN purposes so will follow more closely. I did miss the post build thumbs up 😉

Odd question where did you get that precision screwdriver from mate
Super cool and sick!
beautiful case
What's the name of your track in this one?

Would the sf750 psu have the cable issues

Yep, don't be scurred.
And I'm automatically earwormed just reading the video title.
Next. Cooler Master NR200P V2 Review. Can it fit the Gigabyte 4080 gaming OC?
16:17 I watched this part 🤭
just bought one i have ideas on water cooling and custom work.
I haven’t seen that gpu in your video’s, or I must have missed it. Can you do a review on that gpu pls?
I watched until the very end! ha! lol
This will be my next case. The meshroom S is just too big 😅
Is 4090 impossible to install?
Throwing shade at June Case LOL

If it had a liiiiittle bit more expansion space (like a radiator mount) this would be incredible

I watched "that part" of the video.
Anybody else notice the audio is clipping through out the video?
Not me
The designer took it from my brain 😅
I’m not scarred to watch the last 10 seconds of the video, you’re scarred to watch until the end lol
Wish they had an ATX version.
looks really elegant, for almost nothing to show. :-) its like a much to small biniki.
070 Oberbrunner Village
Bra open case for 200 bucks? lollll if they include the Mini ATX mobo then maybe.
selling a few piece of metal at an expensive price while not providing an aio bracket is a joke.
the price, ... 🤣🤣🤣
251 Hailee Turnpike
33th 😂
480 Dillan Valleys
200 euros for like 12 tiny aluminium pipes and a thin spine sheet is absolute insanity. Hopefully no-one buys it, so greed gets driven down.
Ths should be a $50 case... Lol
First
"X frame"........ where's the damn "X"?!?!?!
Basically an Xbox Series X 😂

except for the looks
Will never buy a pc case where they maKe u do their work. Specially when they charge u that much.

You can also just use an Open Benchtable, then there is litteray just 4 screws :D
I love the idea of open frame and if @haurjie ' morph case was available in Denmark i would buy it in heartbeat. But it serms he has discontinued it 😢
