I always felt getting a perfect block with Mystic Knight felt easier than with Fighter and thought it was in my imagination or MK's animation made it easier! Glad to know that it's because MK's shield does have longer i frames! Really miss whisper, btw, pity he dropped off the internets.
Petrification arrows used by Ranger with various set-ups such as spiral arrow with rusted long-bow VS all other bow vocations just simply was more effective, quicker. You've helped my game -play over the past 4 years + very much. I do use feints over ripostes as MK for its duration at little cost in application time. Thanks Nihil.
@Nihil: I did some testing on Assassin & Leg-Strength on stream. You're right Assassins get a layer of it, but adding the Augment actually gives them 2 layers of it. So they can go from Average -> Very Light, for example
With the perfect block for Mystic Knight, you can actually see the block frame increase in the files. All of the Riposte skills get +5 frames on the first level and +10 on the second and third level. However one exception is the Thunder Riposte, which gets +10 on the first and +5 on the second and third level, most likely a bug. Also the other shield skills (Demonspite, Holy Fortress and Holy Grace) either get no block frame increase (Holy Fortress) or get only +5 on the second level (Demonspite, Holy Grace).
Love the dedication to DD content. As a bonus, I believe Warrior deals more environmental damage too. There aren't many destructible objects in the game outside of crates, which anyone can break, so the easiest place to see it is in ore veins. No matter how much damage my bows/sword/maces do, to get metals from ore veins I need to use a pickaxe. As a warrior, a single swing on the weapon causes all the metals to fly off and be picked up. IIRC they also have an easier time breaking the pillars in Daimon's room but I need to double check that since it may just be my memory. I believe spells can do the same thing, but warriors are the only ones I've seen able to do without an ability just an attack. It's incredibly minor but I find it neat.
Man your effort and dedication is amazing it makes me so happy to see this in a community for a game that I love. #JustSubbed. Epic man. Just frickin epic......
Warrior also get stagger resistence without attacking. On one of my first times playing the game, I changed from strider to warrior and didn't got staggered from bandit arrows. It was remarkable
I noticed those results when I first tested many years ago, Warrior resisted always. Then tested again recently and it wasn't always this time. I didn't retest Bandir arrows specifically but I tested Bandit sword swings
The damage calculations are fairly complex in the game and it is really hard to discern whether these are working as intended or just unpatched glitches. Something like jumping while doing HFB at 90 degree angle to your target will do significantly more damage than standing and doing the same attack face to face with the target. They gave Ranger an augment(Trajectory) which is almost useless since it doesn't do anything to the damage drop off with distance. That same augment completely breaks the game when Magick Archer uses it since there is no damage drop off and in the case of ricochet bolts there might(?) be damage increase on the length or the number of ricochets. That last part is more rumor than fact, but after a few thousand hours of playing MA, I cannot say that it isn't true.

Yeah, I figured it wasn't quite just auto leg strength, I figured it was something else because I did notice fluctuations per weight tier. I checked out your channel, you got some dogma testings vids. That's awesome. I enjoy testing stuff out in the game.
One more thing. As a MK main, I'm 95% sure that the window to perfect block increases with the ability rank. I have a much easier time perfect blocking with fire ripost then with fire counter. Don't know if the Inferno Feint increases further tho.

I did not test speed but I tested distance. I may have tested speed a long time ago. In Dogma Online there augments for dodge roll. I actually haven't considered Dogma Online in these tests. I should
Something I'm curious about: Did you try using a cheat engine to use illegal weapon/skill combos on other vocations? What I'd like to know but too am lazy to test is to see if some of these passives are traits of weapons/skills and not the vocation. For example, if you use a cheat engine to equip a longsword to a strider, does it get bonus stagger resistance during a charged attack? Is the stagger resistance from warrior, or from arc of deliverance? For all intents and purposes there isn't much of a functional difference since during normal gameplay warrior cant use a longbow, but I'd like to see regardless
I checked quite a bit with pawns of mage. Same rate to fall from dragon roar, same health replenished from reviving, same damage solo vs pawns, same boon durations, same health replen from anodyne, same defense, same a lot. And that's how I thought too. It should be something to do with support. But these kind of comments are good, maybe we'll think of something more solid to test

Do augments that boost the climbing stuff not have any effect when equipped on Strider due to the natural hidden bonuses? Same with the other classes hidden vocation innate bonuses. Or do they stack except what you mentioned with Assassin and Leg Strength?
Opportunity works on Strider, Leg Strength does work on Assassin (tested it again after vid), Morbidity works on Ranger, Prescience works on Mystic Knight, Warrior Audacity probably works, Arm Strength works on Strider, Gloves of Might work on Strider.
Mage maybe they don't have it, for how "OP" they r. Maybe their way of balancing
I might be wrong but I always thought magic archer had a faster dodge roll than the others
I did not test speed but I tested distance. I may have tested speed a long time ago. In Dogma Online there augments for dodge roll. I actually haven't considered Dogma Online in these tests. I should

What the skill called again? Ingel? Is that the one that gets rid of debuffs?
That's Halidom. Ingel is the basic fire spell.
If mage is a support class, what if it has something to do with pawns?
I checked quite a bit with pawns of mage. Same rate to fall from dragon roar, same health replenished from reviving, same damage solo vs pawns, same boon durations, same health replen from anodyne, same defense, same a lot.
And that's how I thought too. It should be something to do with support. But these kind of comments are good, maybe we'll think of something more solid to test
Is spell sync innate to sorc, or to arch mage staff?
Sorc
It’s pretty crazy how empty and unfinished this game is, and it’s crazier how good it is despite being incomplete and unfinished
Game really could have benefited from a robust mod scene
Are you active on the DD Discord?
Nope. I was. Briefly
@@Nihil0.0 oh okay I gotcha! If you were i thought it might be a better place to ask you some questions I've always had regarding some niche pawn builds 😅
@@Oblivion262 you can ask here. Any of the vids. I usually reply
@@Nihil0.0 I was really interested in building a Strider pawn with daggers only that's a climbing master. I was browsing your videos, hoping to maybe find one about niche pawn builds (fighter-no shield, ranger-bow only, strider-daggers only) etc. I was also wondering what the best skill levelling would be for the highest possible physical damage on a pawn is.
@@Oblivion262 highest physical is fighter to 10, warrior to 200 but that's low stamina. Instead you can go ranger to 100, warrior to 200.
Dags only Strider-
Kisses only. No other skills, maybe Soaring stone.
