    Whatever labels you use to describe yourself, your fundamental label should be: independent thinker. Amala Ekpunobi learned this lesson as she stepped away from the leftist groupthink she had been raised with and began demanding evidence and logic in support of the ideas she accepts as true. In this talk, Amala will discuss her journey from her teenage years as an activist for the regressive left to her chosen policy of accepting ideas only when they make sense to her reasoning mind.
    Raised in a far-left activist household, Amala Ekpunobi began a career in leftist organizing until unanswered questions led her to an ideological transformation. Upon passionately speaking out as a conservative, she became a viral social content creator and amassed millions of views. She now works as a personality at PragerU, where she hosts Will and Amala LIVE and creates daily content for social media.

    Amala, you are brilliant. I can’t believe how young you are to be so wise, eloquent, and highly persuasive. And your analysis is excellent.
    Like you, I have no political tribe. And I’m glad of it bc then I can think for myself rather than pledging allegiance to a political group that may hold many good values but also some truly awful views as well.
    Go to college and law school. I see you as presidential material. What a happy day that would be for ALL Americans since you judge people by their actions not their race, religion, ethnicity, sex, etc.

    A liberal is someone that is willing to make rapid change at the risk of destroying something important. That the goal is all that matters.
    A conservative is someone that realizes their actions can have unintended consequences.

    It's sad to see some the negative comments here. Yes, while she is young she has been on the inside of the leftist machine and speaks from experience that many of us don't have. I can respect how hard it must have been to come to a conclusion that you have had it wrong your whole life and now you have to do something about it and she has.

    Abortion is not (just) an "emotional issue," it's a series of medical procedures voluntarily performed and validated using reason and logic. Abortion is also an unalienable individual right.

      An unalienable right means the people who believe in Santa Claus have no right to mess with it.

      @@charlie_painter For context, I'm unsure where I stand on abortion. I'm wondering what your perception of this is: Let's say a woman lost her job, faced many difficulties in the same week and concluded she could not handle a newborn. It's generally accepted that if a woman terminated a healthy newborn after leaving a hospital for any reason, she should go to prison for a very long time, or life. At the same time, if a doctor performed the same procedure one day prior, it would be perfectly legal in some states and accepted by many as the woman's choice. I really can't resolve this discrepancy in my mind. Such a complex moral issue for many reasons and seems to contain a lot of nuance.

      @NsOakland6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@KellyLCornell Generally she should give the child up for adoption at birth. Especially since she should have been more responsible before hand and been on birth control or used condoms. Beyond that is a breakdown in societal morality issue because she shouldn’t have been sleeping with Men who were not prepared to be a husband(first) and a Father. So it was her carelessness in the first place then her selfishness to kill the baby because she screwed up.

      Murdering a baby because the pregnancy inconveniences you is not an unalienable right

      @charlie_painter if you're referring to God Yes Normal people believe in God and there's Nothing wrong with believing in God.
      Unalienable Right ? To kill a life. No one should have the right to kill someone, the only exception if you're saving yourself or someone else life but even then.
      The reason women are protesting anti-abortion bills, is because most women use this as birth control instead actual birth control.

    I think you should address the systemic racism that the banks are perpetuating through their politics of house mortgages or loans, which are decisive to which neighbourhood will one be allowed to live in.

    This Young woman's philosophy was shaped by the guilt complex faced by many single white women who have biracial children; where they feel they must over compensate for what the world will be like for their children, these parents usually over compensate due to their guilt of not having the father figure present. And yes this is generally what happens to their daughters and sons because they are now able to see from both sides of the Isle so to speak, her realization is not really based in the truth of the black experience; she is biracial and will always get a pass. even though she may not realize it. So she's very smart and a great presenter but her experiences were skewed by virtue of her mother's perception of the challenges she may face. "She was raised by the white side of her family" as she stated. I've met many like her.😘🤔

      Whether it's self-deception, brainwashing, or a genuine change of mind -- she believes what she's saying. It's not hard to suss out a charlatan. None of us will ever know for certain, but my bet would be on "genuine change of mind". If one of the other two options helps you sleep at night, I couldn't fault you.
