  • I will make a better video on it soon, but for now I just wanted to quickly demonstrate how easy this technique is and how you can learn it pretty quickly yourself!
    Sorry I sound depressed, I promise I'm not.
    The example was a very short and sloppy presentation, but you get the idea.
    Let me know if you want another video on how to execute this technique, and feel free to ask any questions / requests in the comments!
    Thanks for watching,

    The way he explains, I love when he says the 4 hits thing….. quads? This is how I explain drums too! Finally someone who speaks my drum language.

    I think I have those exact same pedals, and that is exactly how I learned heel toe doubles!

    I love the way Zach Hill does heel toe. He doesn't even really use his heel, he does like this toe slide, and it makes it to where he can do them EXTREMELY fast. Look up the video Death Grips - Lost Boys (practice) for a perfect example of how he does it.

      just had a look, that’s called the slide technique which is also very useful! i’ll make a video on it in the future .

    Yeah, it’s a cool technique! Chris Adler ex Lamb of God plays like this, he developed these pedals with longer footboards to do it.
    Cracking video!

    Alright now try this. The same 16th note pattern healtoe and do singles on your hands on the snare or Tom’s when you get good you’ll be able to do them at crazy tempos !

    While my right foot presses strongly, my left foot cannot press with the same force and less sound is produced. I work on this for 45 minutes a day, but I feel like I'm not improving. What should I do about this?

    • @ivoamps4651
      @ivoamps4651  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@lornashore1 There’s a reason your right foot is better at it than your left. It’s because you use your right foot while you play beats and grooves which builds up its overall strength. I’d suggest focusing more on getting your left foot comfortable with playing beats as well (use it instead of your right and switch a hi hat groove to the ride). Also if you’re seeing no progress, sometimes it helps to take a break (only 2-3 days), after all it’s like building muscles in the gym.

    every time i do it, my foot start crawling up and my toes keeps hitting the chain and i have to drag my foot back down again 😢

      all i can suggest there is to work on your precision and try your best to keep your foot in the same place! maybe try it with no socks on (it’ll be hard for your foot to slide up then)
