FX30 user here, I use flexible ISO between 800 - 12800, I suggest you try that out as well! It Really opened up the fx30 for me in many situations, and 12800 looks JUST as good as 2500 (obviously even better in lowlight)
Ima have to try that and use it! Ive use flexible 1time lol but ill surely take a look!

Wait on a Promotion for the Lumix. One just ended but they pop up occasionally. You can bundle 3 lenses and get $300 off each. 50mm for $50, 85mm for $200. Several other lens options too.

@@1ShotNas hold out for a sale. They usually have many in the summer. On b&h and adorama lol for the "build a bundle" option. One just ended a few days ago. I had a bundle with S5ii and 3 primes, 18, 35 and 85. All for 3k total. I didn't pull the trigger though. Undecided

I just purchased the fx30 and even in daylight situations im getting a lot of noise. Do you know why this could be happening?
Well the fx30 has a NR system in it that causes the noise too rise in the black levels alot so you have too def exp to the right or over expose to control the highlights better ! The more iso also the more grainy but the NR if it could be turned off would be still noisy, you can use a denoiser in post to help

Why not a box style camera?
I am going to grab the black magic new camera the Pysix 6k but for the smaller jobs and strict open gate feature id want a camera with small files to back door my big cameras
But that is otw!!!
@@1ShotNas I don't even understand why Sony can't do open gate. The fan and chip should be able to handle that feature. Makes me wonder if it's on purpose.
