Hope was rescued alongside four other horses in August 2021. Her owners were suffering with their own health issues and this quickly led to unintentional neglect.
Despite the owners efforts to get help, the situation spiralled out of control, and these previously well cared for horses began to suffer. They had not received any veterinary or farrier care during this time. A neighbour provided as much support as they could, but the horses had health issues that were difficult to manage.
Once the owner got in touch, we were able to offer a solution and bring the horses into the care of the sanctuary. We provide no-shame advice and will support people to find the right care for their horses, whatever their circumstances.
Thanks to supporters like you, Hope has received the expert care she so urgently needed. There is hope for her future.
