I’d love to see an updated version of this video as this one is five years old. It would be great to see the review in conjunction with one of the new floor stands that can be used with iPads or modified. They have a heavy weighted base in a very long arm, mounted on a pole, which might give you quite a bit more range of flexibility. I’ve used a desk mounted one for my iPhone, and I still have problems with focusing. It is amazing to me that no one has created a CCTV app which has functionality take a vantage of the iPhone camera, which would have focus locks and other features which would control the blurring and constant attempts to refocus so much and probably try to crouch on that With abs these days like seeing AI I imagine the functionality of turning your iPhone or iPad into a CCTV would be even more of a possibility than it was before

Sam, there are table top/desk top clamp mounts that work for most phones and tablets. They can be adjusted any way you need to, and they're pretty inexpensive.

One on the go trick that I have used is adding a pop socket to the back of my iphone to use while my iPhone is sitting on top of a flat surface or book. This is especially helpful because I have shaky hands making it easier for the camera to focus. This setup sort of mimics the Pocket Viewer, which is one of the older portable magnifiers.

If you're trying to connect it to a computer then you'll need that program I talk about in the video. It's called air serve and there's a link in the description
