Can't believe how many videos I have gone through where the install raw wood directly on the metal. Finally a guy doing it right.

Yeah it really works well, straight and no split, I always have a ton of scraps laying around too!

Nice job! Looks heavy you’ll need a Dodge Cummins to pull it.

I filled my outside vents with spray foam and then painted them black.

I wound up putting them back over the hole but when I took this out the ac was sucking the door shut so hard I drilled them back out!

What is that tongue and groove product you used on the ceiling? Looks fantastic.

It’s bead board about 1/4” thick. I bought it at Home Depot

@@buildlifeoverland can you elaborate more? I looked on Home Depot’s website and could find it. Do you know roughly how much the material weighs? Trying to keep my trailer weight down. (Single axle 7x12) thanks and like your videos

I’m confused on your first comment on having a small air gap between your ceiling and insulation and later mentioning ‘rule of thumb’, to vent air space or fill it? Where did I misunderstand? Thanks.

Gets a little tricky and and some would debate but It is a space between the trailer roof and the insulation you need to vent or fill. The space below the insulation is within the controlled envelope if that makes sense.

I can see the ceiling loosening up. Don’t you think glue added would have been a good choice?

Ok I see after I posted you do use glue😅.lol

Glue with a little flex to it is a good idea too I think. Also the ceiling trim around the perimeter keeps it locked in pretty good.
