Update: After doing dozens of runs with this strategy, I got a couple more pointers to add for you guys.
1.) Since instruments can now be stored in utility slots for everyone, it’s a great space-efficient way to get extra Item-Achieve AP.
2.) Speaking of instruments, holding a Lute gives you additional Knowledge. For example, an Epic Lute gives 5 Knowledge and is very cheap on the market, so having one in your kit to hold while you meditate can boost your spell-regen speed significantly.
3.) Death Skulls might be the most AP-efficient mob in the game. They are the same AP as other mobs (8 elite, 10 nightmare), but have a fraction of the HP. With enough damage and magical power you can 1-zap them, so any room that you know has a bunch of them can be milked for a quick 50 AP in literal seconds.
4.) Somehow it completely slipped my mind that headgear can roll additional magic damage. Get a Wiz hat with +2 additional if you can.
5.) I’m not sure if they updated the AP value of jewelry in the past week, but I saw today that blue jewelry gives 12 AP, not 14 like I said at 7:35. Tiny difference and still worth picking up, just don’t want to spread misinformation.

doing this before the route gets popular and contested :D
After doing dozens of runs using this strategy, the northern route shown in this video was always the most consistent. Sometimes doing the giant 2-module room in the southern-middle part of the map have a little more AP but I was much more contested there because it’s adjacent to the middle module.

Thanks for the video bro, just got E1 so hopefully gonna get Demi tonight, I'm not really sure how to be efficient when spawning on the south side though tbh, I also run with a book instead of staff because I kill everything with 1 missiles regardless - could you possibly upload an example run of you spawning in the south side? would be extremely useful imo
South side is definitely harder than north side. I am working on a 299 lobby video rn, but after that I can upload a VOD from a southern spawn.

Hey, Great video! Sucks that the AP system is in the state its in to be honest but im exemplar 1 and trying to push the rest of the way to Demigod, did you do most of your runs in the high gearscore bracket or the low gearscore bracket, out of curiosity? With that, do you think there is a better option to choose out of the two for this method?
I was in the higher gear score bracket the whole time. Seems to me like the higher gear score players are more confident pushing to the middle since they can handle the PvE more easily, making it less likely to run into players along the edge of the map. However that’s just my experience, I can’t make any guarantees.
@@SqueakyFrank Gotcha gotcha, thanks for the reply! Well I ended up making it to demigod pretty much using your method just adapted to a warlock playstyle! I had seen a foxman video that did something similar for just leveling up where he killed a ton of mobs and always wondered if it would be good for AP but your video kind of solidified the idea and helped me grind out exemplar 1 in a way that wasnt insanely stressful! Great video! :)

i must be doing something wrong because in the low gear HR lobby i'm getting run at by people camping my starting edge room multiple times
I’ve only been doing high-gear, maybe players in low-gear are more aggressive because they have nothing to lose? Generally if there is anyone near me I know about it, not a lot of sneaking in the ice caves.
Does this still work for the latest wipe?
@@Derhs_ tragically the addition of Ice Abyss cuts the game timer for the upper level Ice Caverns in half, so it’s much harder to obtain significant AP. Ice Abyss is much more difficult than Inferno (in my opinion), so I would recommend just going for Crypts/Inferno and following the same overall strategies from this guide and my GC AP guide. Another thing to note is that mob AP was increased significantly, so Nightmare mobs are a main component of the overall AP gained.
I plan to make an Inferno guide sometime this wipe, but sadly it probably won’t be for at least a month.
Why show AP gain in Voyager while talking about demigod?
The demigod entry fee is 1300 AP. I am able to consistently get 1500 AP per run. I did this 10 times in a row, to make sure it is repeatable up to demigod. I wanted to get this video out quickly, so I didn’t bother to do the extra 20-30 runs, but could have. If many others don’t believe, I will take a day or 2 to grind it out on this second character.

Every lobby I was in was at least half-full. The majority of players just push to the middle or want to be left alone, making them very easy to avoid.
