    Growing up in an abusive household my brother was all I had. I protected my brother. I took my father’s cigarette burns and backhands. He was social and could make friends easily while I could not. In my darkest days he let me be a part of their group. It kept me from suicide.

      It's an amazing scene, and the surprising aspect of the show is that we are led to like and root for the Stark children, yet it's hard to think of scenes that capture sibling's true bond like Jamie and Tyrion Lannisters. The Lannisters, the family we are supposed to hate. That's great acting and writing. And before people joke about Cersei and Jamie's incestuous love affair, I'm talking about family love with parents, siblings, children , grandchildren, we all cherish and honour and protect. Anyways, just an opinion, and another example of the strong writing and direction GOT had, particularly seasons 1-5, but 6, 7 and 8 did have it's moments, though people like to criticize and forget. Stay safe all. Peace ( and enjoy final episode 10 of season 1, House of the Dragons.)

    This scene summarizes season 8: something terribly wrong and something amazingly right stitched together. Jamie saying he didn't care for the people of King's Landing is just stupid as it ignores the great character development Jamie had experienced throughout the previous seasons. On the other had, Tyrion telling Jamie he was all he had is definitely one of the most heartfelt moments in the entire show. Those last 35 seconds of the video are simply perfect.

    • @bubbathenaslover
      @bubbathenaslover 3 ปีที่แล้ว +48

      I disagree, if you really think about it, this was better character development. Its more realistic when you realize people can regress in their "change", knowing its harder to stay a changed man than to regress back to your old ways for something you loved all your life.

      Admittedly, it could have been a lot better in some respects
      But this is excellent. Hes given so much, badically everything, to be with her, it would make sense that hed forsake everything, even his morality for her one last time

    • @naqihassan4318
      @naqihassan4318 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @d bollman Jaime Lannister was more honorable than Ned Stark. He seemed arrogant because he stopped caring about people after he saw what people call you and blame you for saving them from the mad king. I mean even I would stop caring. Ned was stupidly honorable but Jaime knew what honor is.

    • @johnnygonzalez1344
      @johnnygonzalez1344 2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      I agree with some of the disagreement replies here. This scene with Jaime reverting back to earlier form and running back to Cersei is more realistic than let's say him riding off into the sunset with Brienne and living happily ever after. In real life, "changed" people sometimes revert back to their old ways.

      Wrong comparison, I opine.
      Ned Stark is Honour personified.
      People like Ned Stark are defined by and they define Honour. May be, thats why their characters are limited.
      Jamie, on the other hand may be someone with good EQ, but he lost his honour when he started sleeping with Cersei (his own sister).

I lost one of my brothers, the one I loved the most and wanted to be around forever and my love for my brother is iron clad and never ending. The only person who can cure depression is yourself. Diet exercise keeping yourself busy. Etc. humans used to be survivors and had depression never existed. Until life got easy and we got soft. Until we live a more humble or harder life where we must face adversity and the actions we make are truly satisfactory or you stop taking things for granted you’ll feel better. And the pills you take from your doctor (just like any other drug) the more dependent you’ll become and the harder the withdrawal will be when you stop. I highly also recommend the Baptist Christian religion as the lord tells us how to live rich fulfilling lives. He gives us discipline humility and patience. I wish i had a bond like that with my brothers, my mother did everything she could to tear us apart our entire lives, she succeeded, we're soo distant from eachother, strangers.
    I always struggled to make friends because of my extreme anxiety. I feel soo lost in life, depleted, alone.

    Had to watch Game of Thrones again the season on a whole was not the best but episode 3 and 5 was good. One thing about the season that they did do well was the farewells they did a good job with whoever had to say goodbye episode 4, 5 and 6 was great in that regard.
    Great performances from all the actors words they used in those farewell scenes.
    Jon and Tormund
    Jamie and Brienne
    Tyrion to Varys
    Jamie and Tyrion
    Jamie and Cersei together
    Arya and the Hound
    Jon and Tyrion
    Jon saying goodbye to Arya, Brann and Sansa.
    All great moments that is something I think every fan can agree on.
    Jamie and Tyrion best scene of the entire series for farewells.

    I think about an alternate scenario: jaime tried to convince the cercei and daenerys wait for it, cercei did not convinced and jamie had to kill her like he once killed the mad king and gain one more title: queen slayer. And all the lives in the city have survived. Happy ending

    • @crayon7369

      That means you have not understood Jaime. He can do aything for the people he loves, He always loved and cared for cersie, tywin and tyrion. Jaime once said " he wants to die in the arms of the woman he loves" and he loved cersie the most. He knows her inside out, but he has accepted and loved the way she is, even if she is hateful or anything. He loved the mother of his childre. There is a saying that there is no one like Jaime lannister, and thes things make him different from other men. He was ambitious, a warrior, a clever and intelligent man, was alsorutheless but he was loyal to his woman.

    I just realized something: Dany realized she was surrounded by well-intentioned short-sighted traitors, for whom she could never do enough to earn the sort of devotion they had sworn away to others. These folks were very different from the slaves she freed in Essos. They didn't even try to hide their intentions, just like Tyrion here. Can you imagine if Tyrion's plan had worked - think of the domino effect. Dany is living proof that if you let even one member of a dethroned royal family go free, they will sooner or latter return to claim their birthright - and Tyrion here is actively trying to save Cersei....CERSEI!! I'm not saying it's justified, but in Dany's shoes, there is an argument that you'd best level the known world if it means taking down Cersei & her loyalists - the woman knowingly treated the threat of man's extinction as a move to consolidate her own power (essentially siding with the undead to kill all her enemies); you don't think she's coming back for payback? One could even say that Dany might be in the right to think that the ringing of the bells in King's Landing was yet another ploy by the Lannisters (Tyrion included) to let the house survive.

None of them spoke out...none of them did anything to try to stop it whatsoever they all stood by and did nothing.
