So are we just not going to talk about how Marco spent 16 years hunting hundreds of copies of a witch through various dimensions and then returned home as if nothing had happened and they never bring up the intense psychological scaring that would induce?
What I've come up with (and its prolly not canonical) is that whenever Marco leaves that dimension his mentality is reduced back to that of teenagers just like that way his body goes back to normal. I also like to believe that whenever Marco leaves that dimension he leaves the memories of what happened there behind him too, like he knows he went there and he can recall events but not very well and it doesn't have an emotional affect on him. And then when he goes back to that dimension all that trauma's brought back to him and he has a totally different demeaner. I Know this literally makes zero sense lol, thanks for putting up with me!

Nah, i've always hated him unironically, he didn't gave me good vibes at all... He was too secure and boring for me, the only thing i ever liked about Marco was his whatever he had with Heckapoo.
This show feels like writers shot themselves to foot with a naval cannon. All potential was thrown out for idiotic filler and shipping, and plot holes are to plentiful to count.

Things I want to clarify that are 100% true and confirmed at Creativa Fest by Daron: 1- The first season was derpy af because disney was testing if the cartoon had the appeal necessary for their target. Thats why the important story plot was hiper rushed at the end to keep the audience hooked and see how much expectations it created. 2- Daron never created Ferguson or Alfonzo. The only characters she had planned for the show were Star, Princess Pony head, Janna and Jackie. Disney executives were worried that Marco only had girls as friends so they told her to make up male friends for him. To this day, she doesnt know why Disney decided to do this, but t she felt obliged to do so or Disney being a big cunt and all, wasnt going to fully support the production of the series. (disney executives, smh) 3- Daron confirmed that the 3rd and 4th seasons are going to explore background stories for Tom Lucitor, Star, Eclipsa, Marco and Moon. The writting team tried their best to evade filler episodes, but again, they may be a couple or more in the new seasons thx to Disney exectives (again). This is to keep the story plot a little bit longer, but she said that they wont affect the pacing at all. 4- She didnt gave any spoilers about the shippings tho. But she confirmed that we will be having intense moments for sure. She also said that she is a fan of TomCo since she finds it funny. She confirmed its never going to be canon tho. 5- She also confesed that she likes to tour on the SvsTFoE Reddit page and explore the fan theories and she said that there are theories posted out there that are 100% canon. She sometimes is surprised on how many fans unexpectedly know the true plot about her show. She didnt said which ones tho. And last but not least: Jackie's theory of her being a mermaid is wrong. She is not a mermaid, and has nothing to do with them at all. Also, the theory of Janna being a witch is wrong too. Daron had orders from Disney to not reveal anything plot related for future seasons, BUT I can tell for sure that she was confirming this because of the way she said it. If you want more info about Daron at Creativa Fest, search the video of Daron Meet & Greet at "Alfrely" channel. She talks about lots of things there. The video is in english and has spanish subs I will never forget Creativa Fest. She was so awesome and kind and she even drew a little Star in my copy of "Star & Marco's guide to mastering every dimension" :D Like this so everyone sees these info

Actually, fun fact, Janna wasn't initially planned. She was a background character in season 1 who was given a few quirky traits, then promoted in season 2 because the staff liked her. And while Daron originally said Jackie isn't a mermaid, and probably still isn't, she backtracked in a later interview and said "we still don't know".
Damian Freeman R1 & R2: Yep. She even told to a friend of mine that once the show had amassed a large fanbase, she had more freedom to play with the main plot of the show. Hence we saw far more character development at S2 than in S1. R3: Well, we already got the first episodes of S3 and they were intense. I believe we will have more important episodes at the 2 week special in November, mild fillers at mid season and important episodes towards the end of it just like in S2. R5: Ikr I didn't follow up the subreddit of SvsTFoE after Creativa Fest so I don't know how much hype it created. This event was at México so maybe thats why many of this info its still missing from wikias and stuff. If I remember correctly, Daron pointed out a theory about Eclipsa on reddit that was so interesting that she confesed it was a way better plot than the one that is already in the show. Again, she didn't say which one.

@@Pine-sq2ll it didn't fit with me. There were definitely great plot episodes at times, but overall it didn't give me the same tension season 3 did. They put off all of the good plot to too few episodes, trying to go back to season 1 with very sparse progression, and it hurt the ending overall. It just felt like the whole season was rushed and never built up to the true scale of "oh god shit is about to go down". Season 3 was a rollercoaster of anticipation and the last season didn't really do that for me. It also really messed me up when they let major plot points just go off to the side for no real consequence or conclusion, like Mina or the Darkest spell. They had very good and intense moments, but it came too late and was too brief. And I saw that! Thank you! Not really sure why you subbed, though. I only made playlists of songs and stuff I liked from other creators. I didn't even know some of those were public.

I think my issue with season 4 is it just felt drawn out while still nothing was accomplished. Like it it starts with Eclipsa in power and people aren't happy about it, it ends on that same note. Meanwhile they wasted episodes introducing things where they didn't have the time to go anywhere with it or on relationships that weren't gonna pan out. Like with the actual story they had written, I just feel like the season could've been half as long and you wouldn't have missed anything.
Wow, summed it up perfectly. That unicorn head really is the worst. Im glad that they actually made Jackie interesting instead of the bland piece of toast she was in the first season
S1 Jackie was just "the cool girl Marco has a crush on" but now she's super cool and and she was an amazing girlfriend i would die for someone like that to date me/be my friend
CaptainCryptos and they wrote her out of the show in the most badass way possible. in accepting Marco's love for Star and Mewni and that he won't be able to let them go. And dumping him because she knows she's the only one holding him back. Literally better than most romances I've seen in cartoons.
Yeah I know since gravity falls more an more Creator's feel compelled to follow the short series formula but it is something that is very hard to pull off I don't even think gravity falls completely pulled it off innall honestly
Aaaand the moral of the story is that it continued to slowly decline until it crashed entirely by mid season 4, and ended confusingly and unceremoniously.

Don't skip the unimportant stuff! While those episodes may not be as interesting, some of them are downright hilarious. If you find Star's ADHD to be charming or amusing, the Banagic episode is brilliant.

I know this video came out years ago, but this REALLY needs a 'Re-Uploaded' varient that takes into account the last season and the ending and everything. Just... it really does.
The show has an identity problem. It doesn't decide whether to be a goofy slice of life or a epic space saga, and both ideas tank from them not scripting properly.

I also like to believe that whenever Marco leaves that dimension he leaves the memories of what happened there behind him too, like he knows he went there and he can recall events but not very well and it doesn't have an emotional affect on him. I think the only thing worse than Ponyhead is those episodes that are centered around the spells having like office parties and crap.
Things I want to clarify that are 100% true and confirmed at Creativa Fest by Daron:
1- The first season was derpy af because disney was testing if the cartoon had the appeal necessary for their target. Thats why the important story plot was hiper rushed at the end to keep the audience hooked and see how much expectations it created.
2- Daron never created Ferguson or Alfonzo. The only characters she had planned for the show were Star, Princess Pony head, Janna and Jackie. Disney executives were worried that Marco only had girls as friends so they told her to make up male friends for him. To this day, she doesnt know why Disney decided to do this, but t she felt obliged to do so or Disney being a big cunt and all, wasnt going to fully support the production of the series. (disney executives, smh)
3- Daron confirmed that the 3rd and 4th seasons are going to explore background stories for Tom Lucitor, Star, Eclipsa, Marco and Moon. The writting team tried their best to evade filler episodes, but again, they may be a couple or more in the new seasons thx to Disney exectives (again).
This is to keep the story plot a little bit longer, but she said that they wont affect the pacing at all.
4- She didnt gave any spoilers about the shippings tho. But she confirmed that we will be having intense moments for sure.
She also said that she is a fan of TomCo since she finds it funny. She confirmed its never going to be canon tho.
5- She also confesed that she likes to tour on the SvsTFoE Reddit page and explore the fan theories and she said that there are theories posted out there that are 100% canon. She sometimes is surprised on how many fans unexpectedly know the true plot about her show. She didnt said which ones tho.
And last but not least: Jackie's theory of her being a mermaid is wrong. She is not a mermaid, and has nothing to do with them at all. Also, the theory of Janna being a witch is wrong too. Daron had orders from Disney to not reveal anything plot related for future seasons, BUT I can tell for sure that she was confirming this because of the way she said it.

Actually, fun fact, Janna wasn't initially planned. She was a background character in season 1 who was given a few quirky traits, then promoted in season 2 because the staff liked her.

R1 & R2: Yep. She even told to a friend of mine that once the show had amassed a large fanbase, she had more freedom to play with the main plot of the show. Hence we saw far more character development at S2 than in S1.
R3: Well, we already got the first episodes of S3 and they were intense. I believe we will have more important episodes at the 2 week special in November, mild fillers at mid season and important episodes towards the end of it just like in S2.

@@Pine-sq2ll it didn't fit with me. There were definitely great plot episodes at times, but overall it didn't give me the same tension season 3 did. They put off all of the good plot to too few episodes, trying to go back to season 1 with very sparse progression, and it hurt the ending overall. It just felt like the whole season was rushed and never built up to the true scale of "oh god shit is about to go down". Season 3 was a rollercoaster of anticipation and the last season didn't really do that for me. It also really messed me up when they let major plot points just go off to the side for no real consequence or conclusion, like Mina or the Darkest spell. They had very good and intense moments, but it came too late and was too brief.
And I saw that! Thank you! Not really sure why you subbed, though. I only made playlists of songs and stuff I liked from other creators. I didn't even know some of those were public.

I think my issue with season 4 is it just felt drawn out while still nothing was accomplished. Like it it starts with Eclipsa in power and people aren't happy about it, it ends on that same note. Meanwhile they wasted episodes introducing things where they didn't have the time to go anywhere with it or on relationships that weren't gonna pan out. Like with the actual story they had written, I just feel like the season could've been half as long and you wouldn't have missed anything.

@@PmpknHead Yeah, the characters were based off of an irl couple, so pretty much every other romantic interest was just an object for jealousy. And because they were destined to be together, the blood moon just made things awkward instead of actually doing anything of value.
