Perfect video if you already know how to do the hard steps but only need step by step instructions on the easy steps.

My pull rope wouldn’t rewind sometimes so I took it off. I’ve been trying to get the spring back in for about an hour. This video is helpful but I’ll probably never get this saw back together

some of the older units had the pulley inside the recoil housing molded to the pulley...ie: you don't take it off. the replacement kits online I see have the grooved
end that catches the flywheel with the tension spring inside held on with a screw. Are these newer style pulleys compatible with the older style housing?

Order several of the starter assist spring as they fail 7 times more often than recoil spring. They designed this heavy little spring to reduce the “FELT” start pull that it takes to overcome the compression of the engine. This is the most stupid thing I have ever seen installed in a power tool, to be compared with British-Laylend 5 speed manual transmission that used a plastic cane type pump to push thick winter gear oil upward to a tray that drips oil onto 5th gear and reverse that starved for lube when cold. Imagine that, gear oil gets thick when it is snowing outside? Duh! The plastic pump snaps off all the vanes providing no gear lube on top!
It failed to due to bad design as well. Recall, no! Free repair, no! Damage and lose of use when you need it most, no! Do they fix it by changing or updating parts, No! You are to buy another one! Not me!
