    Really awesome loving the approaches and techniques. The backlight as a gradient idea is something I also have ended up doing as it gives much more control on placement and hues and avoids potentially unwanted textures showing up from a flash or LED back there.

    • @workphlo
      @workphlo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed, In camera I found myself trying to reproduce something mathematically perfect which is redundant when digital options are available.

  • @workphlo
    @workphlo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If anyone's curious! Other tweaks afterwards:
    • Curve darken over the smaller two bottles, missed some flare
    • Subtle purple glow on the surface with a radial gradient
    • Straightened out wonky reflection angle
    • Applied brightening to main brand text
    Thanks! Would love to hear suggestions on future imagery.

    so, to get the metallic to pop, you acutally have your strip boxes behind the bottles angled towards the camera some and the diffusers are helping to acutally light the label?

    • @workphlo
      @workphlo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Essentially. The diffuses help wrap the light around the area which reflects in the labels. Then I use a bounce card to make up the middle. Cheers

      @jerryfictum3320 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried something today.. turned out horrible, but I was using g a mixed bag of modifiers and diffusers

    solid tutorial but the final image looks a little off to me. I think a dehaze brush or similar effect in photoshop on the bottom portion of the composition would have helped a lot here. where the bottom of the bottles meets the acrylic in particular is too bright in contrast to the background.
