my current headsets mic hasn’t worked for at least half a year now and i’ve finally gotten the chance to start looking for new ones. i found the 7.1 ELO air on the target app and i went straight to YT reviews. i’ve watched at least 5 videos on it and every single person has said the same thing. definitely think this is gonna be my next mic
What about the Corsair void pro? Also, did you see the rgb peripherals razer leaked? There was a new wireless charger, headset stand base station, mouse bungee, and laptop stand all of which have chroma. It was in a yt video that they released that they later took down. It was also on their site.
I almost reviewed the Corsair void pro over a year ago and I opted to pass because it was so uncomfortable I didn’t care what the sound quality was like. And I had friends at the time that also had them and the mic sucked so I passed.
Just got my very own 7.1 Elo Air! Have to say its great, only one thing I can't configure a key to switch between the different profiles... Not on the keyboard (which is also Roccat) and not on the headset itself. Otherwise im quite pleased with it.
@@darjart Well... The cushions themselves lost their colours and went almost completely black probably from the sweat and what not and there are slight static noises when adjusting the volume fast but other than that they still hold up. Altho I will say the Roccat app for updating them is quite annoying and sometimes it takes for them time to sync in with the USB wireless dongle even if its connected all the time. Also it appears when you turn on the headset, they make these noises when they try to connect but won't work untill you give it a "boost" by loading up video with sounds or something like that. I've expected more from Roccat honestly, considering I got Kone wireless mouse (the mouse scroll wheel is a bit weird and sometimes go down if I scroll up) and the Aimo 122 keyboard which are great and I love them but i'm not sure I can recommend the headphones too much for these annoying things. For me, the headphones aren't too good after one year just because of the annoying static noises I sometimes hear but it might be better with future updates. I probably will give other brands a go because of these annoying things (I still have wired Razer headphones which apart from cosmetic wear and tear, they are still as good as new). I do love these headphones more than the Corsair Void I used to work with, the Roccat ones definitely feel more crisps where they need to be. Also at high volumes there are "S" noises when someone speaks but can be adjusted I guess using third party apps (I never bothered dealing with it). In conclusion, they are good for the money but I would probably rather spend a bit more for something more easy to use and better sound quality. The mic is great.
Bought 2 of them. Unfortunately Roccat Swarm destroys these headsets, They are really amazing, but so much problems start to arise once you install swarm.
@DanttuwPlays I cannot recommend these headphones because of personal experience. The best way I can describe it is. I loved these headphones so much when they worked the way they're suppose to, but it became such a struggle getting them to work properly I returned both. I now use the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro. Also an amazing headset with 0 issues so far. I've been a Roccat customer for 10 years, but after my Kain 200 broke after only 3 months I've decided to give other brands a try.
steelseirs over the roccat tbh, im personally gonna cop the roccat cause I like rgb (childish ik); but overall the steelseris has a nice aluminum frame which means better build quality, the athletic earcups stay nice and cool and the drivers/comfort just feel and sound pretty good. (your choice, but unless u want rgb, i'd go for the arctis five, they are just overall more premium and have higher quality specs. They are wired tho, so there's that. But yeah it depends whether u want rgb lighting or not. (I use to have the arctis five myself, but wanted better aesthetic so I traded them in for a pair of elo airs.
this is cap it works on my ps5 but the only problem is that the in game chat doesn’t work but party can’t does i need help to fix it tho bc i’ve been looking around on yt to fix it
DONT BUY THESE. I am on my 3rd. The first 2 broke at the same spot (plastic joint holding the ear piece to the headset). The second 2 both have had issues with the microphone cutting out, and also with synching to the computer. The only reason why I have this third is because I got the 2nd replaced through customer service. I can't get it to connect most the time (a 5-minute+ dance between unplugging the USB transmitter and headset, replugging, waiting, listening to beeps, looking at the lights blinking, and not working every time) and I hate them. It is so frustrating. They're comfortable but don't work. The microphone cuts out of chat intermittently. I hate them. Do not recommend it. Have had 3 pairs, and none of them have lasted longer than a year. I hate them.
Hi man i bought these headset yesterday but the are not working at all like there is sound but its not comming from the headset+ i cant adjust any thing at roccats swarm like its graied out.
Sadly, bought a pair a couple days ago and charged them, light blibked red every couple seconds while charging. Which concerned me, after 24+ hours of them "charging" the light stayed red and blinking every couple seconds. Put the transmitter in my pc, hit the power button.. nothing. Headset power button stays red. Let it charge again via wall outlet this time, after 15 hours same result. Took them back and exchanged for another pair. Same issue. Took them back a second time. Right now on third pair, and the same exact issue. These headsets are utterly useless.
I like roccat... Have been using a kone for a long time now and im probably gonna get the vulkan tkl pro soon, BUT the one thing i would never buy again from roccat are headsets. They are mostly low quality and dont take long to break especially the moving parts that are made out of plastic. I can only give people the advise to get some standard stereo headphones and a cheap desk mic if you are on a budget. You wont regret it. Dont fall for the gimmicky gamer shit that just costs extra... Dont be a fool. Just ask yourself... Do you need rgb on your headset? Do you really need wireless? Im currently using beyerdynamic dt 990 pro and a 50€ samson meteor desk mic and i bet you its alot better in terms of sound quality and durability than this headset. I even used some 40€ sony in ear headphones for quite a while and they were great and i play mostly fps games!
Do not get these products. They may be great, but roccat does not know how to make proper software and ruins them with "firmware updates", making the device a fancy paperweight as you can not downgrade and they refuse to work properly without the updates, but they won't update. And using one without swarm is missing out on hella features, which sucks balls.
so you dont like any features of this headset like microphone noise cancelation, 7.1, bass eq, audio clearity, voice clearity, etc. so what did you like ? 😅 im just pressing dislike button. come on! that is a roccat $99 headset! you are telling us that 90% of its features are bad.
Sound is decent, definitely had better headsets soundwise such as sennheiser, but to get good sound you need to spend 200 dollars or more, Sennheiser don't do well in low budget but excellent when you spend more, you would be better off with this. I would not pay over 200$ for this, i got mine 50% off for 80 bucks (eu) and for that price they're worth it. If you're spending 200 bucks or more you might aswell go with sennheiser or steelseries. Pros + Battery life Charging time Software has a lot of options Head has two sliders and several buttons Audio is good, not great though. Build quality is not bad for the price at all, Logitech and Corsair is far worse. Background cuttoff is great Cons - The connector is very small and flimsy and if that breaks your headset is rendered useless. Mic is ok, could be better Not the most comfortable headset, i personally used the velour sleeves from my sennheiser headset and put them on these, that fixed it for me. That's it, overall a good mid range headset that delivers on all front, even the expencive headsets have cons and i personally rarely ever dip into the expencive section cause why would you spend 200 bucks for a headset ? you don't have to with options like this.
I’ll be begging my parents for the headset for Christmas.
It’s good!
Nice review Kile! Looks like a really solid headset
It’s not bad! For the price, not sure what else I would consider other than this🤣
Great review 👍 Gonna order one of those I think 😅
Probably not a bad idea🤣

Great video as always bro I dying to see what was printed on your shirt lol 😂 love that color

bought these about year ago and plastic at rotating part near ear cup gave up from daily use

@@darjart These headphones are so ass they broke the second i got them. Worst mistake of my fucking life
Great video! Maybe a comparison video to other headsets around the $100 price point?
I have a Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless and would be interested to see how it compares.
Wich mic do you have
other reviewers said it works on playstation and nintendo switch.

Tell me these come with another set of ear cups i hate that pleather stuff makes me sweat after a while
It says they work on ps4 but you say theu don't?
Does anyone know how to use it on Xbox one since it worked on my ps4
these or arctis 5?

isnt there ELO X Studio or something like that, that is made specially for consoles (ps4 ps5 xboxes) ?
I will get the USB model.
Is this headset is only for pc or is compartible with Xbox series x and Ps5.
Can you use these on xbox? Or PC only?
Not on Xbox on pc and ps4 yes I tried on Xbox didn’t work
I need that headset!
Does this work for the Xbox one

what do you mean by the usb version doesn't have a sound card? Where did you find that info?
I probably meant to say the 3.5mm version doesn’t have one

Bro what’s on your shirt tell us please
It’s MKBHD’s new Crispy shirt. It’s his logo but.... with Bacon haha
You should do a review of the turtle beach 600/700 gen 2.
Possibly!
@@TooMuchTech yessir
I legit just used it on my ps4
got lucky with a 40% off, lost the transmitter tho:(
Hey can I use the headphones with my phone to make phone calls or conference calls? Or for music or just with my phone in general?
Can’t
bro that female alien voice had me dying
I would still have the bugha 5 dollar ones.
🤣🤣
I just wish they would ditch the fake leather earcups and more of a cloth feel.
void pro is still going to be the best for beginners because corsair is bigger then Roccat
I wouldn’t say that’s the most logical, it’s just a difference in brand. The void pro is horrible uncomfortable tho if you have a big head like me.
