    Pastor Brett, I don’t often comment on your forum, but I want you to know how much I appreciate your teachings. I go to a very good Bible believing church, but it is so good to listen to other believers preaching and teaching the Word of God with such a deep conviction. God bless you, your family, and your congregation.

      I don't know the circumstances, but if she's driving it would have been a whole lot cheaper/faster to have flown, even before the recent $5/gallon Bidenflation. One of my friends wanted to visit me in Vegas, driving from Atlanta. I showed him that even driving straight through without a hotel stop, it will cost him almost twice the price of a round trip airline ticket. Plus he could be here in some 6-7 hours compared to driving for 48 hours. Then have to take that loooong boring drive back again.

    Thank you SO MUCH Pastor Brett for addressing the Chosen issue. So many Christians are fighting over it saying it is bad. I personally think it is great. It has probably brought more ppl to Jesus than most ppl who are bashing it. It is NOT teaching doctrine therefore, ppl need to lighten up. I'm brought to tears by the testimonies from ppl who have been changed by it. We should be fighting evil, not each other. If you are trying to find something bad about it hard enough, you will. That's with everything in life. If you are trying to "expose" the chosen, you need to rethink your motives and what you are spending valuable time with.
    God bless you Pastor Brett 🤍

      Amen Brother
      Humbly please yet these times are to EXCITE US & remind us that Our Blessed Hope JESUS is coming back for his bride so when we see the signs around us we are to repent get our lives right with the Lord and seek and save that which is lost. These times are causing many to seek WHY; WHO so many are coming to salvation in Iran Afghanistan India china Israel Saudi
      God is answering prayers
      Supreme Court Ruling
      Babies saved; The right to Pray Maintained
      EPA stopped from banning all fossil fuels
      Thank you amazing Father God Lord Jesus Christ
      I believe The Bible shows us that God is magnified his Glory shown best when hearts and minds are broken
      Those that patiently wait for Jesus Christ return get a special crown to give back to him at the wedding feast.
      brother have you named your horse yet if you look up to all God Lord Jesus is planing for us now 2000 yrs in his kingdom we should be praying for God to embolden us to witness so the fulness of the Gentiles comes in & so the eyes of the Jews will be open.
      Matthew 24
      I hope my words were encouraging as that they were meant to be
      agape you cant wait to see you at the wedding feast maybe soon amen
      Shalom

    THANK YOU i really enjoyed this teaching. and for discussing The Chosen. i have been wondering myself why they portrayed Matthew as so “quirky” i’m so thankful I can watch you online but I’m starting to get frustrated that my local churches do not seem to read through the Bible. it’s always different topics and not bad topics, it’s always good topics and they keep it biblical but I was wondering why its so difficult to I just find a church that reads through the Bible like you were doing or like JD Farag I can’t believe how hard that is to find.

    I love the Old Testament, almost more than the new. Yet I love it all cause it is all GOD’S WORD!
    The Old Testament shows God’s mercy so much. How He spoke to His people over and over through His prophets and struggled, if God could struggle, to draw His people back to Him. He shows so much patience and mercy and love. Yet they continue to worship false gods. This continues in our world.
    So sad.

    While you need to be careful of setting doctrine of movies, they can also be a powerful tool for turning people's hearts to Christ. I became a born again Christian after watching Matthew: The Visual Bible, a word for word depiction of the gospel of Matthew. Jesus was played by Bruce Marchiano and it was the first time in my life that I had ever seen a movie where Christ was a "Man of Joy". Bruce was interviewed as to why he choose to play Jesus in such a different way and he said just like you did: People by the thousands would sit for days and be mesermized by what he was saying. He wasn't a "weirdo" who didn't blink and was sad and down. He was a Man of Joy. People followed him because they wanted a little bit of what he had. A model for all of us Christians. To be like Jesus would mean that people we pass in life gravitate to us because they want to understand why we are peaceful and full of Joy, even in the midst of trials, bad times and mean people.

      Jesus was also let down by his followers. Because of his flesh full make up, he knew of the uncertainties of his makeup and human ways.

    • @jferg0791271
      @jferg0791271 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately after all his invested time and energy put into the flesh, he was very aware of the upset that followed and still does. It's ok though for I believe that he'll still entrust in us and give us the deserved opportunity to know his intentions way back when that have been stricken and manipulated for whatever cost of gain. Thank goodness he chose the way he is. Amen!!

      Where please?

    • @imcrazybrumfield5621
      @imcrazybrumfield5621 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@someguy9519 . When the pattern has a single central clause such as ABCB’A’. The effect of this pattern is to give prominence to the central statement, which can therefore be the main point of the passage, or at least considered as the pivot or turning point of the passage. Take for example an ABCB’A’ chiasm in John 4.
      A (23a) But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:
      B (23b) for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
      C (24a) God is a Spirit:
      B’ (24b) and they that worship him
      A’ (24c) must worship him in spirit and in truth.
      5. When this passage in John 4:23-24 is read the repetition is immediately apparent. You may already have these key phrases underlined because they are echoes of the words of Joshua when he came to Shechem. But if you had these marked in you might have wondered why the repetition is there because the logic is not so easy to follow. This is where we need to readjust our approach. The linear logic we are used to in our culture, where points are made in one direction leading to a conclusion at the end of the line, is not the logic of chiastic passages. The main point is at the centre - God is a Spirit, and from this follows why we should worship Him in spirit.

    Brett continues to slander Andy Stanley's comment about "Unhitching the Old Testament." It is one phrase taken out of context from the third sermon of a three part series. I contacted Athey Creek Church to let them know that Bret was impugning this man's character without doing his research. I exchanged emails with one of the associate pastors who agreed to listen to the sermons to see what Andy actually said and what he meant by it. He came to the conclusion that Brett was in error and shouldn't be doing this. But, alas, the lie continues.
    How is it that Brett can preach that we need context in our understanding of scripture and not apply that to our understanding of each other comments? Brett needs to publicly apologize to Andy and retract his statement.
