While massive flat panels dominated CES 2024, notable new projectors were introduced

In this video, Phil Jones sits down with Philip Boyle to discuss some of the most notable projection-related products shown at CES 2024. While flat panels are getting bigger and bigger, several manufacturers are working hard to develop new projection-based products and technologies.
The show has shifted from being a product show to a technology show, with a focus on up-and-coming technologies rather than showcasing every model from every manufacturer. Some of the key trends include advancements in light sources, such as ALPD 5.0 and dual light 2.0, and improvements in black levels and color gamut.
Compact projectors and advancements in screen technology were also highlighted. Additionally, projection technology is utilized in automotive applications and innovative concepts like heads-up displays. The conversation also touched on the comparison between 8K and 4K projectors, as well as the presence of low-cost projector brands at the show.
