Thanks Lee MW, this is huge development - for those that were lucky enough to be on the right firmware and have the 2 apps - most can now follow through with this exploit now that the File Explorer (Full Trust version) is no longer a must-have. I know the developer said this is not a full jailbreak - but seriously, being able to dump games and run emulators is half the battle and once we get our foot in the door - anything is possible!
@@sixdroid most likely copyright restriction on some ROMs like you have Nintendo for example who are like rabid dogs when it comes to protecting their IPs even if their IPs are like 40 years old. They killed Vimm's Lair after all.
Albeit I won’t be involved in this exploit I hope this gets into the right hands so people can find new exploits making the mod more inclusive for a large chunk of system updates and consoles. It almost feels like this is how it starts, I remember Sony banning games on psp when they were first modded and then it was a mad hop from one app and game to the next.
10 years after console release is crazy glad exploits are beginning to be found. Few more years and a modded Xbox one will be better than an RGH Xbox 360
Once the jailbreak community stabilizes these versions and gets them fully functional with some new functions found currently in the PlayStation jailbreak scene, I can see these version Xbox's going for major bank as the requirements are so limited right now to exercise it

Just a heads up if you extract the payload files on a windows box, they've flagged them as potential threats and defender will nuke the payloads, you can get the zip and be fine to load that onto a flash drive and move it over to a non windows PC. Or turn off defender

I know they're not required to run the exploit, but if we can install emulators that usually require dev mode, wouldn't we also be able to install the optional UWP apps like afp or notepadt as well at some point?

Hey, I just wanted to say I was able to copy the text by setting up Nginx (a software usually used for hosting websites) on my computer, putting the file with my computers ip in it's html folder, going on my computers local ip from my xbox and coping it from MSEdge to GS. Hope this helps someone!
That sounds like a great idea! I have used nginx on my raspberry pi before and this sounds like it would work! Just make sure not to connect your xbox to the internet, only a offline lan with your computer.

The Game is just needed to Create Backups of installed Games. withot it the games are encripted and not usable on other consols and emulators. for the exploit only it is not needed.

if the nvme is completely dead in a series its a paper weight. if it still has the partitions that have the drive key married to the console you can back it up and put it on a new one and install the os files like an xbox one console. maybe one day if ever someone can dump the drive keys from a series console but not yet. Banned consoles don't have access to the app to run this hack and microsoft removed it from the store anyway so even if you could access xbox live its not on there anymore.

XBOX ONE woulde be possible to install the old Offline update on a new 2TB SSD. with some luck somebody creats a WebKit Exploit for this versions. the Kernel exploit is reusabel and ready to use. Series s is impossible at the moment without more reseach how MS generates the Key

@@xrmpa RGH was made and never had a hen equivalent. this will be no different. most people just want free games when they look at this kind of thing, maybe mods too. people might as well update because xbox is nothing like playstation. there will be no hen equivalent. you can get any ps3 right now, literally ANY then install hen on it and get free games lol. ps4 also has hen i believe. eventually ps5 will get hen too or an equivalent to it. theres always hope with playstation. plus every game i want from xbox is coming to pc anyways, a superior platform lol. The only thing that'd peak my interest is a way to get local gamesaves working as normal because of a particular reason with my 360. i dont like switching consoles to upload modded gamesaves to the "cloud".

GS app crashes on startup, My XB was offline no ethernet no WiFi. The license for apps/games sometimes crash and need to be renewed, it happened to me before the XB suddenly won't open any game after it was offline for long time until I connected to internet. This isn't going to be reliable forever. I think the offline licence is timed. M$ isn't stupid.

I'm all for this, except theres no way I could've preped for this. My situation doesn't allow me to just leave my console offline and its not like I had a spare lying around. But anyways, I'm hoping for a full jailbreak eventually so we can get something equivalent to a JTAG/RGH Console from the 360 era. Sure you could use a crossover cable although I think you can do it with regular ethernet these days. Or just connect it to a router through ethernet so long as the router doesn't have internet access.

The jailbreak PPPoWN was patched in 11.02. Given it took years for a working jailbreak after 9.0 you might be waiting until the end of the consoles life cycle before you can get a jailbreak on the latest firmware.
@@KingMk221 it could be any number of reasons to patch like this to include possible new security flaws that might have led to a jailbreak or just a simple problem with a whole class of games that was not working properly and needed a feature update
Easiest way I found was to use an old router for the connection from Xbox to PC, no remembering to turn off the wifi on the Android. The Xbox one's also take a little longer then the series boxes. My average is normally 4 to 5 attempts to get it run. Also on the 1st version with the Adv full trust most vids show the "Q" drive, if its not in there try the "U" ;)
easyest for me was login in to my router and go to network and seach the registratet Xbox and change the setting from internet access to no Internet access and save it.
Just set youre console to turkey location.. TRY dropped so hard in price games are literally free plus you can play online.. hope this helps at least the ones who only need the hack for piracy (prolly most of yall)
@millerman33 this is actually the easiest thing since you dont even need a vpn. Just set the region to turkey in xbox main settings. I recommebd to leave it like that since you dont have any restrictions anyways and switching regions many times maybe cause problems (not sure but since you can just leave it turkish just leave it). Sorry i forgot you need a turkish payment method which is pretty str8 forward since on ininal you can create online an virtual debit card which works perfectly fine

You can bridge your hotspot connection to a laptop running windows that will surpass that limitation.

What would be the best way to do it if the Xbox has a broken wifi module? It's been like that since I got it. Would potentially just connecting a laptop and the Xbox via ethernet together work?
Sure you could use a crossover cable although I think you can do it with regular ethernet these days. Or just connect it to a router through ethernet so long as the router doesn't have internet access.
@@MODDEDWARFARE I don't have a spare router so I was just going to use a standard ethernet to do it, having no wifi access on the Xbox makes it so convenient for this lol

Bro people had to wait 2-3 years from 9.00 to 11.00 there's no jb for newer ones. If there was the flow would be tweeting and you would of seen it all through jb news. You'll probably wait years man
The jailbreak PPPoWN was patched in 11.02. Given it took years for a working jailbreak after 9.0 you might be waiting until the end of the consoles life cycle before you can get a jailbreak on the latest firmware.

@@KingMk221 it could be any number of reasons to patch like this to include possible new security flaws that might have led to a jailbreak or just a simple problem with a whole class of games that was not working properly and needed a feature update

Easiest way I found was to use an old router for the connection from Xbox to PC, no remembering to turn off the wifi on the Android. The Xbox one's also take a little longer then the series boxes. My average is normally 4 to 5 attempts to get it run. Also on the 1st version with the Adv full trust most vids show the "Q" drive, if its not in there try the "U" ;)
easyest for me was login in to my router and go to network and seach the registratet Xbox and change the setting from internet access to no Internet access and save it.
I could get another xbox with game Script like MW but hopefully a updated version comes out soon of the cfw got 3 candidates sitting here waiting

Just set youre console to turkey location.. TRY dropped so hard in price games are literally free plus you can play online.. hope this helps at least the ones who only need the hack for piracy (prolly most of yall)
@millerman33 this is actually the easiest thing since you dont even need a vpn. Just set the region to turkey in xbox main settings. I recommebd to leave it like that since you dont have any restrictions anyways and switching regions many times maybe cause problems (not sure but since you can just leave it turkish just leave it). Sorry i forgot you need a turkish payment method which is pretty str8 forward since on ininal you can create online an virtual debit card which works perfectly fine
@millerman33 i initially only did it cuz im from germany and we had games like dead rising banned or bo1 zombies extremely cut so i wanted to buy those games and it came with that nice side effect that TRY is so low that i even subscribed to fortnite even though i dont play it anymore but its so cheap that idc🤣

@millerman33I would recommend that you create another user account on your Xbox and then turn on game sharing between your main account and other one. Keep your main account safe Incase.
@@fdl88 you need a payment method pf the desired country. Idk about argentinia but in turkey you can easily create one using ininal. It works online and the process is pretty str8 forward.
