Efe_jazz That's why I love her music so much. The instrumentals can completely stand on their own without her singing. Her voice is its own phenomena without instrumentals and the lyrics need no voice or instrumentals to convey their meaning. Bring it all together and it's magical mesmerizing...
This is one of my fave songs. I call it a loop song because I gotta listen to it 5 times before I can listen another song then I play it again 5 more times. Sade is the entire group, stuart, paul and andrew, they write and compose most of the songs along with ms adu! They were in a latin soul band called pride, and went their own way, they really could not decide on a name so they say well just call the band sade!! Been together since 1982!!

It is tough to label the Best across time because of different eras of music, production, dress, etc. My vote for Best Female vocalist is Karen Carpenter. Unfortunately, her early death robbed us of decades of enjoyment, other than listening to her past recordings.
