  • I have just recently fully restored this Lister CS and built the trolley also , hoping to take it to a few shows this year, very happy with the way it runs now, has had new big end shells, new small end bush and pin, honed, crankcase cleaned thoroughly out and new oil and re-painted and new transfers applied, will do another vid when the weather warms up outside !! Thanks for watching. Jon

Ye though I walk through the valley of the shadow of blackout I shall fear no power loss, for though art with me. Thy reliability and fuel economy they comfort me and surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my Lister.

I play this and minimize it just so I can listen to it while working on my spread sheet for work or writing invoices/estimates. :) I think my typing is starting to mesh with the valve sounds. Great looking machine. I love how it comes to such a gentle stop with no back lash. You must have put some time into getting those flywheels balanced. Great job. Enjoyed it very much.

I could listen to that all day long. I have a Listeroid 6/1 that runs, just have to mount it and connect the generator head. Need to get that done this year.

Runs so good! My 6/1 is still in quite a few peices, I'm slowly unseizing all the parts...

This Lister CS has set the bar for restoration, the only problem is it's really really high! Superb!

Beautiful job you have done. I could listen to a CS run all day long truly ,mesmerising.Could you please tell me what colour that is that you used for your CS engine ? I would like to paint my fleet the same shade of green. Many thanks.

does it hurt them at all to run them at 300 rpm? does the crank splash enough oil to lubricate?
    Beautiful job. 😊
