Just watching the review Nick, I have a 2018 AMG GLA45 and it’s a stunner. But... have they cured the scrubbing of the front wheels in the cold? It was horrendous in the GLC and, I think, was down to the tread and compound of the tyres. I never gave it a thought when I purchased my GLA in November 2019, but over last winter and this one it has crunched and scrubbed the front wheels as I back it out of the drive when the tyres are cold. Interested to know your thoughts and your experiences.

@@npoleary Thanks Nick, it’s just annoying at start up and you wonder if it’s a grip limiting factor in poor weather (castor, camber, rake, trail - all that highly tech stuff that I have the loosest knowledge of!) It’s in for a service and first MOT next week at MB Eastbourne (the original purchase dealership) even though I’m closer to your dealership being in the Hampshire area. So I’ll ask away there and give an update here. Keep up the great work, your videos are really informative in an approachable empathetic fashion. You have polish, knowledge and an ability to put it across. I wish you all the best in your field in these odd times 👍🏻👍🏻

It’s a pity that the A class AMG isn’t I think a true AMG as the engines are shared across the range and it’s not the AMG statement of one tech one engine, and they don’t carry the hand built name plate which I think is a let down. A great car just the same but I’d want a true AMG if I’m buying a car for any sort of money...
Hey J S, The A 45 S is a true AMG :) Those are hand built just like like all of the 45’s, 63’s & 65’s. The 35’s, 43’s & 53’s are not hand built but are an entry to owning a Mercedes-AMG engine. They still pack a punch and are very responsive! 😇 But yes you’re right, the hand built engines offer that extra touch and of course that plaque on top of the engine :)

My goodness...that car is absolutely beautiful.. I’ve had my GLA250 4matic for about four months, should I trade it in for this one 🧐🧐🧐 I couldn’t go for black. Black looks gorgeous in the show room, but in the wild it would show the dirt and dust too easily.
Hi Nick, I have a GLA H247, with keyless entry, and lately I have been researching whether it is true that these new keys are deactivated after 2 minutes of inactivity, so it is not possible to steal the car by reading the rf signal of the key, is that true? Thanks for the answer
Hey Paulo, Yes the new style keys do deactivate after a short while although I don’t know the exact timeframe. This is to preserve battery life and also helps prevent theft. This is done via a built in motion sensor that reactivates as soon as you move the key.

No they’re not similar in their engine displacement, I meant their similar in that the 35’s and 43’s are entry level models into the AMG world. Sorry for the confusion!
Bit of a nothing review. The amg35 is a driver’s car … and yet this pretty much just looked at the interior. As a drive - it is both incredible and highly flawed. Incredible is obviously the performance. It’s quick, handles amazingly well, and sounds great. Flawed - well this is a long list. Top of it is noise and comfort. It is very noisy and you feel every bump. This is not a daily drive car. The other big flaw - unless you live in a country with unlimited speed roads you really don’t get any chance to use the speed.
Comment is a nothing comment lol you can't use the speed? You don't have highways in your country? Comfort mode is comfortable, especially at lower speeds.

Those are hand built just like like all of the 45’s, 63’s & 65’s.
