The garden in full swing. Thank you for the tips - very useful, thanks. Got a few ideas about birds and slugs: I have now got five poles around the edges of the garden. Kites with hawk lookalikes, fibreglass hawks and owls nailed to the poles help detract birds. Everything covered in 6 inches of straw, rather than netting which protects the seedlings as well as keeping them warm. For slugs, pretty much everything in raised beds. I paint axle grease on the outsides of the wood. The snails/slugs either slide back down or get stuck before entering inside the raised beds. I think worth a try....we will see!
Awesome 🤩 it’s all about trial and error of what works best / I have a pretty good system but when I move next year I may need a different plan of action 🐌 🦅
As soon as March arrives I become obsessive about my weather apps to extent of comparing and contrasting the BBC weather app and the met office one just to be sure😅. Useful info about cucumbers, this is my first year of growing them and I feel a bit nervous😮
Luchtime here in the Southern hemisphere, been thinking about how you built your cover using a trampoline, thanks to your design, have been accumulating some trampolines, how know how to make a raspberry cage!! My trampolines are huge!!!
Ist Vlog of yours I've seen as a recently acquired allotment owner. I had nothing in there apart from 2 mahoosive Rhubarb plants which I Intended to remove as not a fan of Rhubarb Crumble. However Love a Curry and am keen to learn the recipe for Rhubarb Curry?
