Q suites are in all of the A350-1000s and they're in the process of upgrading the 777 and A350-900s to the Q Suite, although it's currently just the luck of the draw :)

If you were to ride on a 737 would you prefer a seat in the middle portion, the rear, or toward the front of the plane? I personally prefer a seat toward the rear next to a window so that nothing is blocking my view of the ground.

What a fantastic video ! The lounge is sublime and the 1st class also with its quality seats ! It reminds me of an evolution of the "premiere" of Air France. Qatar Airways has done strong ! I like it !

Paul Stewart: That's why I couldn't personally justify paying the exorbitant amount of money for First Class unless there was a clear differentiation between the two products. I may as well charter a private jet. However, I think Etihad, Emirates, and now Singapore offers a clear distinction between their service products. What's your opinion?

I am about to book multi stop flights (with week long stays at each location) for my family next April (Hubby, myself, 20 & 18yo 6ft3 sons and our 9yo) Flying Melbourne to New York - Los Angeles - Vegas - Hawaii. Would it be worth the extra money to upgrade from business to first class and best airline to go with? Tia from a new subscriber :)

Paul Stewart Thank you for the super fast reply :) The trip will be given as a Christmas/birthday gift for our older sons so would be happy to pay the extra costs if it were a giant step above business class comfort wise, particularly on the longer flight to New York and then home going business class for the shorter journey's. Thanks again.. Now back to enjoy my relaxing Saturday evening catching up on your content :)
First Class is always something special but now that business class is so good with most airlines, it's really not worth the added cost. I only really fly in first class because those reviews get more views than business class... haha

Wow, this was amazing. Qatar looks like they give you your moneys worth. How long was this flight? I noticed you had mentioned you ate dinner, watched a movie. I imagine this all was within 2-3 hours? Then you slept and woke up 7 hours later which left 4 hours till landing. Is it really s 13-14 hour flight from Doha to Sydney?
Hi mate. The flight was around 14hrs so it's well and truely long enough to have a proper meal, watch a movie and have a proper sleep. It's a perfectly sized flight as I find the 9-10-11hr ones are a bit of a rush to include meals, movies and a long sleep.
Great videos mate. We are flying Qatar A350 , then A380 to Perth in December. So excited and looking forward to our Aussie trip. I may add we are flying business class. A birthday treat 👍
Loved this review. I can clearly see the difference between the QSuite which I love. Wider space, moveable tray, dining for two and the extra bit of fluff on the slippers, as well a more expensive choice of champagne. Otherwise - if you're price sensitive, I would advise staying in business class and choosing an aircraft with the QSuite. Putting out into the universe that I'll make the comparison for myself though. Great video :)
I love the look of the first class cabin. Very calming. The facial mist is used to hydrate your face whenever you feel you need it. I love them. #amenitykit
Paul Stewart you can, but sometimes you don't want the heaviness of a moisturiser, plus it's handier to just spray. Now, if you REALLY want to hydrate your skin, you mist, then before it completely dries, you seal it in with a moisturiser. 😊

Hi Rolly, I must admit that I'm not sure how large they came in as the FA assumed I'd be small and only bought those. I'm sure they have extra large ones though as it would be a disaster for them if they offended a pax by not providing PJs that were too small.
Wow Paul, this video is awesome. I am amazed at the quality of Qatar Airways First Class. I love the colour scheme, the space, ambience, the bed, service and food. And drink. What's not to like ?! I have never flown with Qatar Airways. I would love to fly with Qatar on one of there longest routes. By all accounts it would be an experience I would never forget especially in the premium cabins. Thanks for producing such a wonderful video with excellent footage and commentary. I am sure you made one viewer very happy indeed with a complimentary Qatar Airways amenity kit. This is one awesome airline that does everything with such panache.

Thanks mate. Unless visiting the business lounge in SYD prior would be a big novelty, I'd say no. Remember that it's a short flight and the food service will be brief. Expect the food to be delivered, you gobble it down quickly, one fill up of the drink and then they'll clear it all away for landing. It'll be a nice experience and fine for the novelty although tbh it's not something I'd spend 10K points on. :)
What a marvellous trip report. I do envy you! It all looked amazing especially with your tour of the shower room and all that lovely food and wine in the fc lounge....what a lounge eh? How do you keep your slim figure? On to the actual flight. It’s as if you never left the ground what with those lovely amenities, superb meals and some glorious wines. Pjs are de riguer with me as I always feel more comfortable in them rather than my street clothes. That shot of you falling asleep looked very cozy and luxurious. Thanks Paul, interesting to compare this to Emirates offer in this class. I flew the A380 SYD-BKK First Class in February 2017. While the "lounge experience" for Qatar passengers at their hub is amazing, like so many non Australian carriers, the local lounges are adequate but not exciting. I do think having seen your video here that I would still prefer Emirates, Etihad is an unknown quantity! The complete privacy afforded by the Emirates "suite" is, I believe, its biggest advantage over this Qatar product. Plus the on board shower is really welcome and makes for a terrific in-flight experience. Also, storage is superior overall on Emirates. The bar is amazing too, but Qatar seems to also offer a very good bar product. I enjoy your videos very much. Happy flying!

Yes storage in the EK suites (the older one, I haven't tried the new 777 one) is fantastic and the privacy is vastly superior although I'd usually keep the doors a little open during meal time so that the crew could see me. The onboard shower is probably a little mixed. The reality is that, and other than the novelty, it's not a great shower and the argument by a lot of airlines is that an arrivals lounge is actually far better. And I think that's a reasonable argument. Qatar bar is better than EK bar IMO. But yeh, the storage really was crap. It's better in the Qantas 787 business seats...

What a marvellous trip report. I do envy you! It all looked amazing especially with your tour of the shower room and all that lovely food and wine in the fc lounge....what a lounge eh? How do you keep your slim figure? On to the actual flight. It’s as if you never left the ground what with those lovely amenities, superb meals and some glorious wines. Pjs are de riguer with me as I always feel more comfortable in them rather than my street clothes. That shot of you falling asleep looked very cozy and luxurious. Thanks Paul, interesting to compare this to Emirates offer in this class. I flew the A380 SYD-BKK First Class in February 2017. While the "lounge experience" for Qatar passengers at their hub is amazing, like so many non Australian carriers, the local lounges are adequate but not exciting. I do think having seen your video here that I would still prefer Emirates, Etihad is an unknown quantity! The complete privacy afforded by the Emirates "suite" is, I believe, its biggest advantage over this Qatar product. Plus the on board shower is really welcome and makes for a terrific in-flight experience. Also, storage is superior overall on Emirates. The bar is amazing too, but Qatar seems to also offer a very good bar product. I enjoy your videos very much. Happy flying!
Thanks mate. Yes storage in the EK suites (the older one, I haven't tried the new 777 one) is fantastic and the privacy is vastly superior although I'd usually keep the doors a little open during meal time so that the crew could see me.
The onboard shower is probably a little mixed. The reality is that, and other than the novelty, it's not a great shower and the argument by a lot of airlines is that an arrivals lounge is actually far better. And I think that's a reasonable argument. Qatar bar is better than EK bar IMO. But yeh, the storage really was crap. It's better in the Qantas 787 business seats...
