@@jeffchastain2977 looks like I’ve been hosed. Excuse me while I jump off a building because of the comments by some cunt in the TH-cam comments section.
"The texts you would get from your mother," "Yeah. Yeah, if she were alive." LMFAO. I love saying stuff like that to people about my dad. No one gets the humor, and yes my dad is deceased, I just have a dark sense of humor.
Aella Lee she also did a 2 season sitcom on Amazon and it was about her Mom and how all that went down. All of the actors were awesome, especially her Step Dad. She wrote it so ask you can imagine it was dark and warped! LOL I love her dry wit. BUT, by far, her stand up (the info is in this video description), was the funniest I've seen of her yet.
Aella Lee the problem is common masses dont have a dark humour and when its on a plat form people understand the perspective more bc they r open 2 any kind of humour...even i get a bit dissapointed when my dark humour is treated with silence or worse awkwardness😂
It has taken far too long for the public to discover Tig Notaro. I’m glad Stephen seems to be a fan, because she deserves so much more recognition for her strange, original, and dauntless humor.
it's taken so long because it's all so inorganic. she is a pscyhopath who never had cancer alisablogq.blogspot.com/2017/07/dismissed-in-interests-of-justice.html
Bertie Brown Heck yeah, I’ve never seen Stephen put his foot in his mouth so badly, TWICE! Jeez, research your guest before you drop silly one-liners making fun of a woman’s mastectomied breasts and dead mom!
Yeah, I don’t think it’s necessarily a research issue more than just a pair of poor choices of words. I feel like Tig’s laugh at the “close to the chest” line was her wanting to make a crack about it. Watching his previous interview with her it seems like they might just operate on different wavelengths in general.
I love Tig Notaro. She is funny, sometimes excruciatingly so - she’d be brilliant in movies. Also love how Stephen seemed to go straight into an apology as soon as the interview finished.
The Zoey Colby Tucker Show I mean, I get that her humor is a bit unusual, but that's no reason to be like that, dude. Her Netflix Special is one of the funniest I've ever seen
I don't see the humor. I haven't laughed once and as for the rest - we're told time again, bashed over the head really NOT to assume pronouns. Of course it's ridiculous to actually ask "what" a person is and no one should ever do it. As a Canadian, refusing someone's pronoun is a hate crime and can get you thrown in jail. Fascism 101.
Im with you on the fact that she is just not funny, But that "incorrect pronoun jail" is some JB Petearson bullshit, I dont wanna trade Snowflakes on the left, for some religious snowflake on the right. Miss me with that fundamentalist gay shit
Wow, that was a while ago. She’s great on discovery. I really like the scene where the crew find her on a ship which is a bit of a disaster. She’s an engineer who can keep people’s brains going and she re-engineers so many things just to keep going, with the Tig Bob, where she’s just so relaxed and fine to rewire this and that to keep people alive. Excellent show.

Easily one of the best things about Star Trek Discovery. I’m definitely going to miss the show, but I will terribly miss getting to see Tig Notaro‘s desert dry stylings on Jett Reno.
Smart, witty, smooth delivery, respectful--Jeez, how can you NOT like this cool person? Every time I see her, she drops nuggets of pure gold with perfect aplomb. She has to be one of the most intelligent and resourceful people in show biz. The fact that she can mention Monica Lewinsky and Jen Anniston in the same conversation and call both of them "exceptional." is flat-out inspiring. Live long and prosper, Tig.
I am SO happy that I took a look at the comment section on this video. Everyone is embrassing Tig and it's wonderful. She's a great comic and seems to be a great person.
Star Trek Discovery got a lot of hate, but I must say I've enjoyed it. Only thing I didn't like is what I call character recycling, and things in the parallel universe were too convenient for my taste. Still, looking forward to the next season!
What exactly did you enjoy about it? The unlikable uninteresting characters being arseholes to one another, how it doesn't really care about the trek values of peace and diplomacy or the Vulcan philosophy and butchers it and them, mary sue Michael Burnham with sonquea martin green's bland boring performance the most unlikable protagonist in Star Trek, the lame dialogue, the painful scenes of Klingons talking slowly in their own language, the lame cartoon villains, how it's style over substance with it's flashy pointless visuals, how it's doesn't fit at all in continuity and the writers don't care either, the predictable boring plot twists and how the hack writers kept ripping off better done things from previous Star Trek shows because they're lazy and have no real ideas of their own and what few they do are just plain bad and stupid. How could you possibly have enjoyed it? Maybe you'll enjoy the upcoming Thundercats Roar too for being anti-patriarchy propaganda and mocking and disrespecting the original and it's fans. Since maybe you enjoy works made by people who hate beloved old franchises and what they represent and stand for and want to tear them down and spit all over them because that certainly is the trend nowadays.
I don't really care much for the newer Star Trek movies either. Not at all enthusiastic for possibly Chris Hemsworth coming back for the fourth one. Just seems like a gimmick just to attract wider audiences since he's a bigger star now then when he was in the first one.
Or maybe they just care about a franchise that they love and have actual standards and don't want to see it be watered and dumbed down and then get more just like it. Discovery is a terrible terrible show. It'll never be the pop culture success that classic trek was and that's just the truth.
Well I just found out that the showrunners for Star Trek Discovery have been fired so maybe it will be okay or maybe it won't make much of a difference. Will have to wait and see.
I haven't seen her comedy specials but shes the best part of Discovery. Everything that comes out of her mouth is pure comedic gold, and that character was done with everyones shit about 20 minutes before meeting them. She's _almost_ in an a passable Stargate outfit! So yes, it seems appropriate to be taking orders from this woman on alien worlds.
