Actually, "I'll show them" mindset really is a motivator. It keeps you extremely focused on your goals. There's a friend of mine that was in a relationship for like 3years. Both of them were extremely poor. Then eventually, the girl got a chance to get into a much more developed country. She promised to takey friend too. But once she got there, she got hooked up with another man that was fairly rich and she tossed my friend like a dirty tissue paper. After some time, he developed the "I'll show them" midset. And now, after 10 years, he owns a big gem business and he's one of the richest among my friends. And now the guy has got a good wife and they have 2 kids. And he recently told me that her ex was cheated by the guy she met abroad and she even tried approaching my friend before he found his wife. Its all possible.

My girlfriend of 5+ years broke up with me 2 days ago and I've been feeling like crap. I'm heartbroken, confused, and generally lost right now. I've seen a couple of helpful videos on TH-cam regarding how to deal with a breakup, but this one in particular has put me in high spirits.
I feel like a buddy is doing everything in his powers to cheer me up. Aaron is so charismatic and funny that I couldn't help but to laugh, which I haven't been able to do yet.

Since I last posted my original comment, I've been well and have done well for myself. I am still single, but no longer linger for my ex. I cut communication with her almost cold turkey. Even though she did begin to date some other guy months after our break up (that shit hurt me like hell for a long time), she has been the one who has reached out to me periodically.
I did have a brief interaction with my ex last year for a friends-giving dinner. I was cordial and respectful, but knew to limit the time of conversation with her. It was the first time we had seen each other in person since the break up after 2 years.

After getting dumped when I was still ready to fix things and she wasn't, I took a big hit emotionally. It was even worse when I learned that she's talking to/seeing someone new, after only two weeks of breaking up, when we were together for over a year. I was devastated. Yes she got Type 1 Diabetes due to our breakup and went to the hospital with 600 sugar level, the doctor said two more days and she could die of heart. Type 1 is for people who are not fat but are very sad and depressed Type 2 is for fat people. We were apart for six months although we were talking to each other and she constantly said that she doesn't love me anymore and there is no chance getting back. Later when she got out of the hospital and we got back together she admitted all this was bullshit and that she was thinking of me every day and cried and blah blah blah. And i was like wtf woman why you didnt just tell me and i would fly to your side! Stupid girls stubborn,selfish and stupid again. But i love her...
