    Do you have any advice for a college grad who is passionate about Lexus Vehicles and looking to work at a Lexus Dealership?

    • @NorthsideLexus
      @NorthsideLexus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Superfastjellyfish! There are some great entry roles at Lexus Dealerships. If you are looking to go into Service you can start with a Cashier or Valet position, move up as a Service Advisor. If you are looking to go into Sales, then I would see if your local dealership has a Lexus Delivery Specialist or Lexus Technology Specialist jobs available. You get to learn all about the technology and safety equipment on the vehicles and teach new Guests how to use their new vehicles. It is a great foundation for a sale career. I hope you find something fun! Thanks for tuning in!

    If the GS has the up/down button to the left of the steering wheel on the dash panel does this mean the vehicle has the HUD option?

    • @NorthsideLexus
      @NorthsideLexus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Eric, if the GS is equipped with HUD you will see a panel of buttons with the top left button being labeled HUD. The up/down arrow buttons control the display brightness with and without a HUD, so you need to make sure you see the HUD button to determine if the vehicle has a Head Up Display. Thanks for checking in.

      Hi! Thanks so much for being here! Yes, that feature is customizable, but it usually needs to be done at your Lexus dealership. There are specific steps that a Technician uses to make that customization. it can be 3, 5, 7 or off for the lane change customization. Thank you again for all of your support! Make sure to check in with your Lexus dealership's service department to get more details about the recall. If your vehicle is not safe to drive they can help offer suggestions about what to do while you wait for Lexus to determine what the resolution is.

      Hi Thanks for tuning in. I checked the online Owner's Manual to confirm for you: drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM30G34U/pdf/OM30G34U.pdf (Page 224)
      - "Washer/wiper dual operation: Wipers will automatically operate a couple of times after the washer squirts.
      - Vehicles with headlight cleaners: When the headlights are on and the lever is pulled and held, the headlight cleaners will operate once. After this, the headlight cleaners will operate every 5th time the lever is pulled."
      Make sure the headlights are on, or the linked function won't activate and just the windshield will be cleaned.
      I'm sorry I don't have an index for this video yet and I don't think the GS I was able to get had the Headlamp Cleaners. Hopefully this will help :)

    • @NorthsideLexus

      If you have a panel of four buttons with the top right button blank, that is also what the Owner's manual shows. It is possible there is a feature available in other countries that I don't have information for in the US, or the button is there for symmetry in the layout. On the HUD, it appears if the LKA is on it takes priority over any other display option on the left side. Is there a way to have the LKA on but not display on the HUD and be able to toggle one of the other two options (ECO or REV and shift indicator). The LKA has its own screen on the dash which I prefer so do not need it on the HUD. If this is not possible, what was the design intention of not allowing it to be cycled off but keep LKA on? thanks

    • @NorthsideLexus
      @NorthsideLexus  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dan, The HUD isn't as customizable as I would like, but try this. Use the Driving Support screen on the MID (the display on your instrument cluster), use the left or right arrows to select that screen, then chose the HUD layout that gives you the most additional content. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in with me!

    • @dansgen1alero
      @dansgen1alero ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NorthsideLexus Thanks for getting back to me, however I have not seen a screen on MID on the left that cycles through the HUD options. Can you provide a little more detail as to where this screen would be? The LKA settings on the MID also do not appear to have any HUD settings unless I missed it. Thanks

    • @NorthsideLexus
      @NorthsideLexus  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dansgen1alero Hey Dan, check this section of the video: th-cam.com/video/WvxZV5qmoGg/w-d-xo.html use the arrow pad on the right side of the steering wheel until you are on the screen that show the LKA and Cruise Control info (th-cam.com/video/WvxZV5qmoGg/w-d-xo.html) That should allow you to see that information more clearly. Then you can customize what else shows in your HUD, by toggling the DISP button for the different available views. I hope that helps👍

    • @dansgen1alero
      @dansgen1alero ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NorthsideLexus Yes I can get to the LKA, however I misunderstood you about the HUD settings through the LKA screen on the MID. That I do not see. That I can only set the LKA sensitivity etc, The only way I have been able to toggle the HUD left side options is by turning off the LKA then I can toggle the DISP button on the HUD control to go between the ECO screen and the drive dear/tach screen. So it sounds like there is no way to have LKA on, but not show on the HUD.

    • @NorthsideLexus
      @NorthsideLexus  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dansgen1alero I see what you're saying. I'm sorry there aren't additional customizations in the car for that. When you are in for your next service, I would ask if the Technician can find any additional customizations with the TechStream. There may be more advanced setting they can see with the computer that I don't have access to. That will be our last hope.

      Hi! Thanks for watching. That feature is customized under the Setup menu. Here's how to do that on a 2020 GX: Here's the list of customizable settings shown on LexusDrivers.com: drivers.lexus.com/lexus-drivers-lscs-theme/PDF/services/2020/20GX460sml.pdf
      Menu - Setup - Vehicle - Vehicle Customization - Other Vehicle Settings - Driver's Seat Easy Exit (the seat and steering wheel movement are linked). You can change the setting from Full, Partial or Off. See item #18 from the list above.
      If you don't have that customization then your Lexus dealer can customize the Tilt Away feature for you through a computer in the Service Department. Check out item #38 for details.
