- In this video I walk you through how I installed a Harley Smart Siren on my 2024 Road Glide. This is the way I did it. It is not intended to be a recommendation. I do hope it helps and I will report back. If you decide to install yours like this, I believe double sided industrial velcro is the way to go.
I’m getting it for my bike thanks for the video
great vid. But this unit is actually suppose to go on the back side, Just under where your bolts are for your backrest supports.
@@TheSkittle1976 thanks man. I know, it's been moved. This was put on quickly before a trip and I didn't wanna mess anything up. I left a day later haha. I appreciate the comment for others though bro! Ride safe
@@_goseeit Hey bro. LOL. I tried to put mine in where I just mentioned where it is "suppose to go" but I couldn't get it in there without taking out the entire battery, not doing that. I ended up doing pretty much what you did. It work there just fine. 🙂
@@TheSkittle1976 exactly man. It's a solid spot, never moved either with the double sided tape. 👍
I had a 21 RG and it was much easier to install, but also much easier to remove it for a thief. I like this. Hard to get to and Hard to take OUT!. thanks for the tip. Luckily it is the same module as the one I had on my 21, and I will be able to reuse it.
By not removing the battery you missed the cavity behind the battery the siren module snaps into. No need for velcro or tape on the 2024
@@danielevans1206 thank you. I was doing this quick prior to a trip, I have it set right now. I appreciate the insight 🤙
Great video, very informative. Not sure if I could live with that beeping myself
Thanks man. I like it, sounds like my Toyota Tacoma lol
Chirp can be disabled.
I appreciate your information! Only video of installing this on a 24' on TH-cam!
I am stoked I could help you!
Put these on my 18 fatbob my 20 rgs and pan america. Well worth the price of mine knowing u get the chirp chirp. So at least people now know it actually does have an alarm.
thanks for the video pal, 🤘
Thanks for watching bro!
put one on my 24 and got a check engine light. unplugged it , no light lol.
@@miahrivers3393 weird. Did you pull your main fuse first?
Any chance you can show where the siren sits near the battery, i just picked my siren up today
@@karlzaman9404 if you pull the battery out you’ll see the compartment it goes into behind the battery. I didn’t film it when I switched it. Sorry man
@@_goseeit no worries thank you for the tip I am going to attempt to install it tmrw watching your vid
Does it also alarm if the bike is tampered with?
Yes, if you try to move it it starts screaming
Nice video bro! How do you set the and deactivate the alarm? Do have a remote?
@@arthurminix2564 Thanks man. It just auto sets once the bike is turned off. It will beep a couple times. If I move my bike and the key isn't close to it, it will start screaming until it senses the key. Huge piece of mind in my opinion.
The bikes already have the alarm. Just don't have the audio part. That's what this does. Just makes it known that there's an alarm
It"s ok but not loud enough is there anyway to make it louder
@@shawndepauw9523 not that I know of. It’s really loud when it goes off. If the bike doesn’t recognize a key and you attempt to move it, it will just scream non stop. Another option is to buy an Amazon basic bike alarm and those things are insanely loud!
Crappie camera work, try holding back a few feet maybe mount it....
@@raybowers4657 thanks for watching, my phone was zoomed in. It looked like crap but I didn't want to refilm it and was just trying to get something up to help people out. My other videos are a lot better.
