ESTEPONA Spain and GIBRALTAR | Camping Parque Tropical | January 2024 | Vlog 625

- We drive from Villajoyosa to Estapona in warm sunny conditions, prepared to camp at Camping Parque Tropical for eight nights, which is a Caravan and Motorhome Club listed campsite. We hire a car for the week and visit a number of lovely places in the area including the Rock of Gibraltar.

Thanks for watching our videos. We include all things to do with motorhomes, campervans, van conversions, caravans and the great outdoors. We mainly tour the UK and camp around 80 nights per year in our 2021 IH Motorhomes N-680 CRL luxury VW Crafter van conversion. We offer advice, tips and tricks, review campsites and associated products or services. We also occasionally make videos about other trips we take without the motorhome.

Thank you 😃 We kept looking up and the birds were invisible 😂 Then they would switch to another tree and shout again just after the camera was put away 😂 We did catch sight of them but we decided they were probably camera shy or required a high attendance fee for inclusion in the video 😂 It was a fun part of the tour and we enjoyed some of the prettiest places along the coast 😃 Trev

The temperature was perfect for driving, looking around, exploring the towns etc. I hate to think what it would be like in July 😳 Evidence of only the most resilient plant life suggests I would probably melt or turn into a sun dried Trev 😂👍🏻🚐 Trev
Great video showing the area and Gibraltar. Think your video is the first one I have seen of this area. Very pretty. Did not realize that Gibraltar was part of the UK. I really enjoyed the tour. Thanks for taking us along with you and Sue and puppers.

We definitely need to explore the South of Spain. Andalusia then the Valencia coast, and then compare it to Gibraltar. Yes please!!
It was a real lucky dip along the south Spanish coast. Normally we would not stretch ourselves with so many miles but this trip was to see what and if we want to do more of Spain with our motorhome. In the next video we move away from the coast for an alternative inland experience 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev
We had a great few days with you all. Lots more to explore in Gibraltar as we only saw half the city. You can great aerial views from the top of the rock 👍as well as seeing the Barbary apes.

Very pretty places. I enjoyed seeing a bit of Gibraltar as I'd only seen videos of the monkeys and rock before. Loved seeing the dogs too as dogs are my passion and I love them all. Thankyou for sharing.
Aww the dogs had a wonderful time there. We had a little scare with Oscar as he had a little short seizure in the way back to the car. He vomited twice and we got him back to the cool van for rest and recovery. After a quiet day we gradually increased his exercise and everything has been fine since. He is seeing the vet tomorrow for a check up but hopefully everything will be fine 😃👍🏻 Trev

@@mpaws he was checked at the Vets at home today and he was described as a “healthy senior” so he is able to continue travelling with us as usual. Just need to take care and not do too much 🙂👍🏻

Hi Trev and Sue (and Kev and Tracey) a great video and looks like you are all having a wonderful time looks a great area with lots to see and do as others have said I bet it is strange having Gibraltar and a taste of home surrounded by Spain as I said on fb a good friend of mine and her husband emigrated to Spain and live in estepona it looks lovely there and can see why they moved there

Thanks Daniel, we thought this area was particularly nice. Estepona had a great feeling about it without having all the high rise buildings and overwhelming noise of tourism it keeps its Spanish feel. It was clean and tidy too, unlike some other areas of the coastline. The trade off is that it was a little more expensive however, still no more than you might pay in the UK. The sunshine certainly helps in January 😃🚐👍🏻 Trev

Nice drive. Some cool statues. Um that pool is awesome! Did you go for a swim? That looks like such a pretty campground. The sign is super cool! Love that beach! Need to hop on one of those boats and take a little cruise. Surely someone would let you borrow one 😂 oh cool. Let’s go shopping. Love the old school military band. I spotted Burger King lol. I’d definitely want to take the little gondola ride to the top. The sculptures and architecture is just so amazing. Love that pic of Sue in the car chair. Such a great place to visit.
We really had fun at Estepona although I didn’t enjoy the campsite as much, the area was full of very posh places, perfect for poshcats 😂 We didn’t get to try the boats. Maybe next time 😉👍🏻 Trev 💙
What a stunning area. Gibraltar looks fascinating. We didn’t realise that you had to walk across the runway to get there!! How weird to be back in the UK for a bit 😃😃

Although we enjoyed Spain we had no desire to try Morocco. It’s just personal choice and we wouldn’t want to offend but it just doesn’t appeal to us. There is enough dust and sand in Spain and we understand the European culture better 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev

Hi, yes we had the dogs in the luggage compartment of the Kia Sportage. I removed the roll up cover so there was plenty ventilation. There didn’t seem to be a problem 😃 👍🏻 Trev
