You should teach them about 'humanity'.

I wish I lived in a civilized country where we didn't abandon our elderly dementia patients to join a sea of homeless people.

For all her flaws, America had a light once. Here's hoping that the hate can subside, but - between that and guns everywhere, it looks grim.

People who worked their entire lives made less then $20 an hour going to end up with about $1600 a month in social security. When a rental costs $1600 a month for a studio in worst parts of town this is what you get.

And I live in a 7 bedroom/5 bath house with 4 car garage with 23 acres for $153 a month in Costa Rica. I have lived in Panama, Ecuador and Nicaragua as well in the last 11 years and never paid more than $180 a month for a 3 bed/2 bath house. Income in Costa Rica averages $550 a month, but housing is less than half. US Average income is $6700 a month. But you will be homeless if on SS of any kind.

@@Mike-01234 I speak English, German, Dutch, Arabic, Thai, Vietnamese, and Spanish so have no trouble with languages. And it is the US that has become a 3rd world countries. Elevators in the US have become toilets. And President #45 was a Dictator and fraud that no so called Banana Republic would tolerate. Costa Rica has put at least 3 ex Presidents in Prison. So has Panama.
Only Americans seem to be too stupid to learn other languages. In both Panama and Costa Rica Children learn English in school. And also another language with French and German being most popular.
Of 76 Industrialized countries only the US lacks National Health Care for all. And the US with, 1.6 million in prisons and jails has bore incarcerated than any other 5 nations.

@@Mike-01234 Every Costa Rican has learned English as a second language from age 6 for the past 50 years. 3rd world country is good compared to a 5th rate country like the USA. Plus nearly free health care for wife and self for $60 a month. And low taxed of 13 % because Costa Rica abolished itrs military in 1948.

What are you blathering about? The students aren't rounded up and forced to work. This is what they are studying, they are working on long term studies in this field, they are working towards their degrees and getting experience in exactly the field they are studying and will work in. This is a win-win for both sides. Your comment is ignorant.

Those people cause problems in community services. After they work at DES or health department they refuse anything!
Laryngitis from chronic sinusitis upsets them and they attack. Cannot get a cab with laryngitis and “case managers” do not understand that complication. The more money CASS gets the poor people get hurt!

As long as mental health centers/asylums are not publicly offered… there will be no solution and the problem will grow. NGOs are simply an arm of the corrupt governments who benefit off the situation. Many need addiction help, most need mental health help. Normalizing homelessness isn’t going to help. Legalizing public camping isn’t going to help. Go to mental health facilities, rehab facilities, jail for public intoxication and drug use, or actual programs that help people join society through skill acquisition.. the housing problem is largely not a housing problem.
