Saw these stellar musicians perform Argus plus in Spokane, WA in the spring of this year. So unbelievably FINE! Hard to believe such rich and refined sound comes from a four-piece band with no keyboards. After fifty plus years, somebody needs to tell these boys that they might just have a promising future in music. ; > } Wishbone Ash Forever! (Or for as long as is humanly possible.) God bless you guys!
This band just continues to take me on magnificent journeys into another world. There's no other musician I would love to have a pint with more than Andy. Now in my fifties I enjoy the newest stuff the most. The original lineup is a wonderful trip back in time though...there was a unique spirit almost dark with Martin. Love it all!
Think they're still using Orange amplification which I believed they used in the heyday 70s . Think I only saw them eight times..........such a pity that Andy and Martin are still at loggerheads- life is too short! Although they were renowned for the twin guitars, Martin's bass and vocals were rocks on which their songs were built.
@@Pedro2706 Andy Powell, lead guitar (Flying V) - but TBH I'm disappointed. It's not the WA I loved in the 1970s. 'Throw Down The Sword' is my favourite WA track, but this is a poor rendition, sorry.

They deserved a standing ovation after this set!
Nearly 50years ago I listened to "Argus" at first ... Now I can save the old LP and always love it. Even time stole us the original voice.
Thanks....looks a super set. Looking forward to catching up on the tour on Saturday. Happy memories of this album from my teens.

Yes they used orange back in the day
Martin's bass and his vocals made wishbone, he still has his own band playing some of the same songs !

@@keithf_ They are more solid in some ways.....IMO
Andy is, but the bassist (John) came aboard about the second album, so he qualifies in my book...!
The Vocals are not like Martin's !
