I've got the Vipar Spectra XS-1500 in a small grow Cabinet, it works very well, a good light!
For the price the xs1500 is hard to beat I have 2 in a 3x3
We are using the XS-1000 in a small grow on the second channel and it is going really well so far =)
They have a couple really great affordable options.
I just put the same light in my 1 1/2×1 1/2 and it seems to be doing great.
Is the XS better than the P series?
I got the p4000 and I'm impressed.

I have the XS4000 in a 5x5. I have it covering 4x5 of the tent. The extra foot on the side houses 2 buckets with lids to keep my water warm and the pump sprayer and my extra 6" ac infinity exhaust fan to force air around on the floor. Week 9 with the light at 25" running 100% and things have been stacking like crazy! I am very happy with it.
That sounds great! I am going to be doing a grow with the p4000 in a 2x4 later in the winter that should be interesting =)
@@TheHippieGeeks It will cover everything 100% but definitely at a low percentage. It will be a V8 corolla!
Yeah, I have moved more towards larger lights in smaller spaces to get more even coverage, and running them dim.
@@TheHippieGeeks I know what you mean. Like I said I'm covering 4x5 and what I have found to do is simply rotate and or elevate the plants. I use those crates that stack from the coke man haha to intensify light on shorter plants to even the canopy or to simply give the ones that take it.

I got 2 Viparspectra p600 (95w) they were on sale for $50 so I bought 2 and have them in my 2x2x4.5 tent i got near 200w for only $100 of good quality lights

@@TheHippieGeeks for a while I was kinda worried it wouldent be enough but I did a test run with just a 1 foot standard tree style no training it came out amazing so i bought a second light soon as I saw my results even made my friend buy one haha I went bonzi this run on two plants I did 60 day veg/lst to get a good amount of tops (hindsight shows topping would have been better/faster) but wanted to try bonzi style and the buds look amazing so I really can’t complain it’s all new and learning for me thank you for sharing your knowledge it helps tremendously
I have the same size tent. Been using a small 100w led light and my grows haven't been that good. Just upgraded to a vipraspectra p2000 and I'm fucking stoked to see how my future grows will be like.

I would appreciate if you measured the light level in a 2x4 that is all the space that I can carve out for growing. Really like your content. Good luck to your wife with all health issues she is dealing with.

I love my xs2000. It did OK in my 2x4 but it wasn't enough for that space. It's hard to beat at that price. It's in my 2x2 now.
We are going to have a grow later this year using their P4000 in a 2x4, and I think that will be a pretty good match =)

Theres alot of people that think viparspectra lights arent worth the money but they are so wrong they are a great light specially when you dont have the bank balance to buy a electric sky light , viparspectra is the best bang for ur buck

There new lights they have i think its the SX or XS models they are a great light i think they have blue leds in them aswell as ifar red leds

Unfortunately they are gone forever now. We will have one new grow series coming up with an auto though, so that is coming :)
I got the p1000 and I hope it is going to work well in my 2×2×4 tent I have it all they whey to the top and at 50% hope my plants stay happy
It should work out well =) We haven't checked that one out, but we are doing a grow on the second channel using the XS1000 that is great.

I have a p600 and p1000, I love them. Both are plenty for a 2x2 I now have mars ts1000 and the other 2 in my 2x4, unfortunately I don’t think i can fit 3 plants with how big 2 get. Lol I use a pc fan to keep my p1000 cool, it does get warm if you crank it to the max on the driver. 😮😂

Newb grower here, what would the electric bill be with high wattage like that.
Look up an electricity cost calculator on Google, all you need to punch in is how much wattage, how many hours per day of running it, and what the electricity costs in your area. It will break it down into the cost per day/week/month for you =)
How do you think thus light will perform 3x3
It will do all right, though you will have a lot of light fall off on the edges that are further away from the light itself.
I’m trying to figure out what light to buy. I have two 100 watt LEDs that I thought would cover my 4x4 but looking at their or charts, at least for flower, I’m not sure. Should I look at getting another lower budget light or go for a higher budget ie, the FC series from Mars hydro. I just don’t know
A 100 watt LED it going to be a bit small for a 4x4, as that size of light would typically cover a 2x2 tent. Let your budget decide what you want to pick up, as they are all pretty similar. Anything you add to the tent will help with light levels, and you can mix and match as you are able to upgrade.

How good would this be in a 3x3?
It will work all right in a 3x3 with decent light levels, though you will see some drop off along the edges that are further away from the tent sides.

The par testing is going WAY over my head. I have no idea what is being said. lol I want to grow a plant, but can't I just hang a light and be good? lol
You absolutely can =) What we try to hit is 150-200 par for seedlings, and increase from there as the plant will take it =)
Are all the results based on the light being set at 100%?
It is, but if you multiply the numbers measured by the "PARx" numbers on the screen, you can get a pretty close approximation to what you would see with it dimmed down.

Was the top right the open part of the tent?
No, the tent was closed up entirely for the readings. What you can see is that i didn't quite have the bars that the light is hanging from centered, and the light is a bit closer to that corner, and further away from the lower left. That is why the upper right is higher, and the lower left is lower than you would expect. I changed how I usually hang the light this time, and it led to this issue. I am going to go back to using 4 hangers in the corners instead of 2 coming from above for the next set of tests to try to avoid this issue in the future =)
