Jashan Bajracharya big L just had punchlines and tough raps. Bars is fire but he doesn’t have depth to his lyrics. Reasonable doubt has so many more layers than lifestyles of the poor and dangerous. Rap isn’t just about metaphors and thought talk. His multis were tight too.
In addition to the usual picks (2pac, Biggie, Nas, etc.) I would definitely pick Ghostface Killah. He can rap about any topic and sound nice, can be gangsta, can be emotional without sounding cheesy. Easily top 5.
