more tips and guides to come
this video will touch on the new "notes starting position" (ノーツの開始位置) feature in project sekai. commonly referred to as lane cover. i explain why this feature is useful for players who want to make the game potentially easier to play when trying to aim for full combo or all perfect. expert, master, whatever you choose, you can probably do it with this. i also touched on note speed, and how you should adjust it.
should you, or should you not use this? that is the question.
it's only on the japanese server right now but it will come to global colorful stage in a year.
(did i overuse the saki chibi lol)

    god I love saki
    Great video !
It's not super common in pjsk (yet ?)
but the paper / headband strat has the upper hand for charts with lots of bpm changes. Where you can adjust the cover on the fly

      Thank you!
Fun fact, there was actually a rule for the 2021 Championship that prohibited the use of lane covers! The link is in Japanese but you can find it in here (approximately 2/3rd of the page down): pjsekai.sega.jp/championship2021/rule/index.html
I figure maybe for those whose first and only rhythm game is pjsekai, lane covers aren't as necessary, but it becomes more so when you play multiple rhythm games. If you've ever tried playing Bang Dream before, you'll sorta see what I mean. It's almost impossible to play at first, but once I started using a lane cover, my accuracy skyrocketed, and I basically can't play without it now.
As for changing the cover on the fly, I think Enamel Man is the perfect example of that. The way he just flicks away the cover in his Yaminabe FC video is so stylish I love it! th-cam.com/video/WnNElaCgsLc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6uB8_nPL8n04T5Ay&t=91
