Westphalia Waltz

Well-known, Southwestern musicians, William Don Carlos and Jim McConnell, performing as William&James, play the beautiful and romantic Westphalia Waltz. The lovely song is derived from a Polish song brought to America by Polish immigrants who worked the mills and coal mines. Texas fiddler, Cotton Collins, recorded Westphalia Waltz in 1946 the Lone Star Playboys. Collins played the tune as a Texas fiddle waltz and named it after the town of Westphalia, Texas.
