I remember driving to work, OR nurse, listening to the radio. (FM during the daytime! Miraculous). A new song had come out, and as I was thinking, no way. Turned out, oh yea, really WAY. The Last Cheater's Waltz ripped off Westphalia Waltz, the song I heard my Uncle Sid play many times at the Camp Wood, Texas fiddlers contest, and many others. My Uncle Ed played it after every funeral, birthday, wedding, anniversary party, barbecue, New Year's party, etc. Probably if not the first, one of the first songs I waltzed as a 12 y/o learning to waltz. I love the way you play this, thank you and thank you for all the sheet music you've sent to me.
Beautiful, Chris. I was looking for embellishments and doublestop examples. I knew if you had a video I'd probably find what I wanted and indeed I did! Thank you.
Hi Kenneth. I've just filmed Cotton Eyed Joe, three versions including the Texas version.Out in round 2 weeks. I haven't done OBS, but I have one on the double shuffle which relates to it.
I love this waltz. Thank you.

You're welcome! Glad you found this useful.
Nice playing Chris, especially the double stops. You've done a great job of explaining the complexity. ;-)
Thanks John!
Sorry I'm late Chris. Beautiful tune, and spot-on lesson!
Thanks Gregory. Your comments are always appreciated!
About vibrato, interestingly, when you played it a little faster, you used your wrist and when playing it slower you used your elbow, Gunnar
Thanks Gunnar. I never notice these things!
Do you have a lesson for Cotton Eye Joe texas version dance version and also a lesson for Orange Blossom Special
