You saved my -- I was struggling with my ESC couldn’t get the correct beeps when you said check your throttle values I had an ah-ha moment. My throttle cut was on. THANKS AGAIN!! This is Bill Stewart OVER AND OUT!!!!!
Please do a tutorial on how to program the new AR637T with the Avian Smart ESC, so we can update our current models and to any model to the Smart eco system with the Smart batteries.
So glad I searched for this video. I have a Avian SPMXE1080 ESC. Turns out you need to remove the fan plug from the ESC and connect the double male to the fan port and the ESC port to enable the programing of the ESC.
Hi Robert i have an 80amp Avian esc and a 6250HX FBL unit and reciever would that be the same to connect that receiver unplug fan motor and connect reciver. Many thanks.
Absolutely, all you need to do is access the Avian Prog menu or use the programmer box. The esc is already updated with this firmware. Hope that helps!
@@SpektrumRCvideos I got my reverse thrust figured out but I had to give up safe on Channel 5. Channel 6 is flaps and there is no Channel 7. Is there a workaround to have safe and thrust reverse? Turbo Timber Evo

How do you save and exit on the 100a 120a or 130a? its not in your documentation and you did not show it in your video here for for some reason you cut away and never showed how you got out of the program!?!?
I have the same issue with my 130 amp. There are more parameters to it than the 100 amp and smaller ones, and the manual that came with it is a 100 amp manual so I can’t properly stick program my 130 amp since I don’t know the other parameters. They don’t even make an instruction manual for the 130 amp that’s crazy
My Avian 80 ESC came with 7.4v bec voltage as default. Docs say 6.0v should be default! Luckily I did not blow up my servos. Telemetry on my DX 6 showed the wrong rx voltage and I was able to change bec voltage as described in the manual. Still missing battery voltage and current in my telemetry with the ar6610t. Do I need an fw upgrade?
@spektrumrc I Tried everything with my Nx 8 and ar9020 but the 100a avian only spins Fan and Despite Running with Ur instructions and vids…. Only Sound is continuous beeps
What about the SPMXAE1240 DUAL ESC (which of the two esc's would respond)? I don't think you neither throttle stick nor forward (ix14) program them? You must use that program box??

I had the same thing happen, you select something get a ton of fast beeps, just wait until it starts from the first beep in slow, then you can actually program as shown in the video. Its not broken, might need an update, but definately worked for me.
This does not work at all with a Jeti Transmitter. And according to Spektrum support that is a known issue(FW bug). This procedure only works with Spektrum transmitters. Just a wee bit frustrating after 2 hours of beepfest in my living room.
Seems spektrum BEASTX will not do any calibrate or program with sticks. calibrate seems not needed....automatic calibrated. Surprised nobody has mentioned this.

Guys, why is there no capacity readout without a smart battery? This is really disappointing as the ESC measures current so it would also be possible to calculate a capacity readout with a non-smart battery. You are so close to making a perfect telemetry ecosystem, if only you would provide capacity readout with normal batteries. I really don't wanto to buy 20 new SMART Batteries just to get capacity readout… Do I really still need to buy an Unisens-E Module from SM-Modellbau? It costs less than the Spektrum Energy Sensor and it is better. If you really want to become the number one here in Europe, you have to do better.
The reason is because not all current sensors are the same. If we were to have a accurate current counter inside the esc it would have increased the cost substantially. Even with a Smart battery the mAh counter can be inaccurate so we have opted for a % remaining value and graph. Much more user friendly and easier for the layman to understand.
@@SpektrumRCvideos Thanks very much for your Reply, I understand that. But that leads me to the next question: Wouldn't it be great to have an mAh readout for those who want this as an option and most importantly for non-smart batteries? To me, a SMART ESC seems pretty much useless if I still don't know an approximate number of how much mAh I drained out of the battery. The battery voltage really depends on the load and the temperature so it isn't a dependable value. The inaccuracy of the current sensor can be compensated by a correction factor. That's the way other manufacturers (SM-Modellbau for example) do it and it works really well. The way it works is you measure the real current with a current clamp, compare it to the telemetry readout and if the readout is off, correct it with a factor. I understand that you want to offer a really easy to use system which is great and I love Spektrum for that but I would also really like the possibility of having a mAh readout for the advanced user.
