i think specifically sheer tights under ripped jeans are going to trend. with the uprise of colorful lace tights, the idea of wearing those under distressed jeans is the perfect opportunity for a dainty-dangerous look
I was just going to say this because wearing those jeans with fish net under it was a thing a while back.
i definitely agree with the soccer shoes becoming a huge trend. In Europe the adidas samba (which has a similar flat and narrow silhouette) has been the most popular shoe this year!
I got so so comfortable with baggy jeans, it even made me more confident, I hope it never goes away, honestly
Yeah i get why you say baggy jeans make you feel more confident 😊 I was a pre-teen in the early 90s and then a teen of course in the mid 90s but me and my friends knew we looked good although its not necessarily flattering but to me they still are. Especially if you have curves. You can definitely still see them.
They never went away. They are alredy other generation's styles, for decades ?
not in 2024 maybe late 2025 early 2026… but the thing is you can rock what ever you want… even if they no more hyped, in 2015/2016 when the skinny jeans hype came i still rocked my baggy fitted indigo or denim blue levis 501's… idk i still live in 2002 😂😂😂
in mainstream media i feel like people start losing their originality and you start seeing the same thing all the time so i feel like these are really unique takes and i can’t wait to see them implemented

In the 90’s we did almost all of these styles. It’s cool to see them come back around😊 the cleats, jeans with the cut outs etc…
I begged my dad for cleats, he got them and someone stole them at the beach 😞 yeah, parents didn’t understand why we wanted to wear cleats as fashion 😂

I love the boxing short trend so I also hope it catches on this year! I remember when Forever 21 did that collab with Everlast and made boxing shorts I was obsessed with them

The oversized jeans with the crater holes are so CUTEEEE. But I also agree with the soccer and boxing shoes, especially soccer though. I HOPE they make a soccer like everyday shoe. That would be insane. I would definitely buy fs and I’m sure it would be very popular

We have already been seeing the soccer shoe trend for all of 2023. The adidas samba was huge this year
The denim with holes sounds like a micro trend to me so I’m scared it’s going to produce a ton of waste. Look up more distressing videos. I think what makes them look good is all the flyaways strands and abrasion marks. Also try pairing them with more bold track pants.
With the popularity of shorter inseam shorts among men I’m guessing Muay Thai shorts are going to be more popular than boxing shorts.

for the soccer cleat prediction, there are indoor soccer shoes, which is already seen through the popularization of the samba. just in case you are looking for that sort of shoe, searching for indoors is the way to go

the boxing boots were proposed by Dior S/S 2022 paired with muai thay (sort of) shorts, bralette and blazer, and I've been looking to replicate that look with thrifted items since then. Very cool look

I’m here for the big ol’ hole in the jeans [not for me but to see it out] I’m here for the removable hoods I’d actually wear that! And for the boxing shorts that’s so cute! I grew up in the 90’s hated the soccer cleats as normal shoes but to each their own! and the boxing shoes was cute [not for me but I love to see it) this was A great video I can’t wait to see some of your predictions come true!

Yeah I'm surprised too that the boxer shorts aren't blowing up, particularly as they are such a versatile piece (loungewear/athleisure). The Mathilda Djerf pj look really took off, i guess the cotton/linen option is alot more practcal and breathable tho.
A tip for the ripped baggy jeans combo is to layer it on trousers that are not form fitting. It looks like Rihanna was wearing a red tracksuit bottom underneath. I think your diy looked good it was just the shadow from the space between your leggings and jeans that was showing through the rips was throwing the look off.
The jeans Riri was wearing were AW21 Balenciaga Slash denim and the joggers and jeans come attached she didn't layer them herself sadly. Balenci has made a couple different versions over the past few years in like black and camo etc

I hope boxing shorts become a thing. My gym attire in 2024 will be more retro, like dad in the 1970s working out at the gold's gym type thing. Matching dolphin shorts and sports bras with the dorky sweat bands for your head and wrist bands and tall white socks. The boxing short is like the cool guy version of it.

I like your DIY distressed jeans more than Rihanna's, but if I get into that trend I will definitely wear fishnet tights underneath for a grungy look. I love the "I don't care" vibe from the baggy jeans or even cargo pants tucked inside boots, that was really popular back in the early 2000s I was hoping it would come back.

Many of these styles are peak millennial fashion 2000-2002, think Usher Yeah, and Ciara Oh eras. I have few of the jeans in my memory box (the rips with leggings). ❤️

Those distressed pants you were talking about with Riri were a pair of Balenciaga Slash denim and the track pants are part of the jeans, they were sewn together, sadly she didn't come up with the idea to pair the 2! They have been an item since AW21 so arent new but maybe could be taking off as Balenci have been doing it for a few years
I had a pair of cleats that I wore as regular shoes. I thought I was cooler than everyone else! I would do it again!

it makes a lot of sense how the basketball world started to imigrate into day-to-day style, obviously the jordans were a big part of it and it had the intention of it, but who knows if a soccer player isn't gonna start one too, right?
I think we're going to lean more into the granny aesthetic, think bayonetta glasses etc. I can see frumpy sweaters coming in

i keep seeing slim pants, patterned and plain. like a unique and chic take on business casual lol. As well as capri pants I keep seeing. kind of on route with the jorts, they just keep getting longer. capri cargo pants, and capris as a matching set in the summer. Gigi Hadid implemented capri jeans, so I won't be surprised if that catches on
volleyball and balletesque shoes will definitely pop off.

i feel like the baggy jeans tucked into ankle shoes would eattt anyday, any occasion but some people will just find a way to make it off putting like with the sambas. the sambas are 100% great shoes but the styling of some of those outfits are just not it. but i’m really interested in seeing how the mizuno cleats would look
