- Mark Taylor talks about the install of his Verner powered Hatz Biplane. Mark built this aircraft and flew it nearly 500 hours before installing this beautiful 9 cylinder Verner engine. Enjoy his walk around of his Hatz CB-1.

A beautiful airplane, Mark! You are truly a craftsman! Dewey, Thank you for this awesome VLOG!
That green and beige paint job is gorgeous! And that 9-cylinder radial is just amazing. This airplane is as much "art" as it is "science".
Wow, this man is an artist. He makes it sound so easy to just tear it down and put it back together. One of the pilots at our airport is wanting a Hatz. I can see why now. Great video. Thanks.
Wow, what a beautiful job Mark has done, a real stunner.😮
Marvelous airplane!
Thanks for taking the time and sharing, a stunning aeroplane.
That's a beautiful airplane!
I especially enjoyed hearing Mark point out his personalization details and how they came about. A special project like this takes so much time and effort, he deserves to be very very proud ♠️
What an absolutely beautiful airplane! Thanks for sharing Dewey.
Fantastic Biplane. It's like a naked bike. Only the bare necessities. But it works.

Dewey, I can't think of a better person than you to bring us these kinds of videos. Thank you for this. That Verner powered Hatz kind of resembles a scaled Q model WACO, I think.
Beautiful plane. Great presentation. Great video. Thanks Mark and Dewey!
Thanks Dewey. Always good to see your posts.
Stunning!
Beautiful aircraft!
Cubs never had the Clark Y airfoil. A common misconception. They used the USA 35B.
Love it. If planes "look right" they typically "fly right." Hatz's look right to me. I've got Classic plans and plan and start building ribs soon.
Thanks for another great video!!
Keep them coming!!
Great project! We have two more Hatz biplanes located just up the road in KFDK with Rotec radials... both engineered with the Rotec in mind. The airplane seems to love a radial, if my own flight in one of those airplanes is any indication.
Great walk around
Sheer EXCELLENCE! I've been missing your clips-great to see you again 🙂 Personally, I'ld add an electrical system and starter. I wouldn't want to 'prop' that Hatz. That prop is gorgeous! Culver Props are the best 🙂
What a beautiful machine, he must use a portable radio getting in places like Oshkosh
Man Dewey that is purrrty.
Wonderful bird! How is your engine doing today? How many hours on it? Reliability? Thanks
Surprised that there are no inter-cylinder baffles... Also didn't know that the Verner needed electrical power to run.
👍👍 ✌
Aeronca champ has a clark Y airfoil the pippers have a 35 B auifoil
I'm curious to know if having so much drag in front if it slowed the plane down and what it's current cruise speed is. Thanks
It looks like a cross between a CB-1 and a Hatz Classic.
CB-1 or Classic? Looks more like a Classic than a CB-1.
pity about the background noise
Can this aircraft be flown inverted if so how is the is the engine scavenged ?
No, no inverted systems.
Installation! The word is installation, FFS!
