Angelina said she felt a connection to this song as soon as she heard it. That would explain why she was able to put it up on TikTok only 6 hours after it was released, and put out this studio version 12 days later. Some have said Angelina is singing about her life as a child, where Adele is singing of her divorce and her child. I don't want to take anything away from Adele, because she is a good singer, but just as Angelina did with her "All I Ask" cover, in my opinion, she owned them both. I can't listen to Angelina singing this without a tear coming to these old eyes.
Angelina Jordan's voice is just what the doctor ordered, to make my day brighter. so soulful and beautiful that apparently, it makes for some the best reactions I've seen in many moons. How we love to see true emotion, TH-cam is a winner. music reaction

I'm going to add, the day of her Christmas Special on Dec 23rd, it was announced she will be releasing an album through Republic Records this year ('22). On it will be some of her own works. It was announced on her Fan Club channel as well.

Angelina has been amazing for her age since she was 5yo. But now she is blossoming into one of the best jazzy bluesy singers ever. To my ear she continues to develop fast as a singer. I can't see that progression flatlne for years. This performance is spellbinding excellence. She turns 16 on January 10th. Her instrument is far from fully developed yet. Still one of rhe very best singers around today, and to me and many others, the best (conveying most emotion) ever recorded.
Thanks for the reaction. I agree with you Harri. The minimalist accompaniment really lets you hear all the little nuances in her performance. Yet she still holds her own with a band as well. If you haven't heard is yet, it's not too late to catch her online Christmas concert that is available through the midnight (PST) on 31st of December. I imagine you've heard the expression, "Talent knows talent."
During Angelina's Christmas concert, her band included drummer Gregg Field, an eight time Grammy winner, who played with Ray Charles, Harry James, Michael Bublé, Mel Torme, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra. I think it would only be reasonable to call him talented.
During an interview portion of the show, he said, "I want to complement Angelina. This is the first time we've met or worked together, but and I'm not exaggerating this, You have a gift for storytelling. And the greatest singers that we've worked with Bublé, uh certainly Ella Fitzgerald, certainly Frank Sinatra, Luther Vandross, basically they were wired so that whatever they said, they meant and Frank famously said, 'I never let my singing get in the way of my storytelling.' And I was really impressed, you've got a natural music ability, but for me, it's the ability to tell a story and you do it so organically and it's effortless and I know Chuck feels the same way you're just such a giant talent."
Oh, the "Chuck" he referred to was bass player Chuck Berghofer who played with Ray Charles, Bob Cooper, Ella Fitzgerald, Stan Getz, Peggy Lee, Shelly Manne, Gerry Mulligan, Art Pepper, Frank Rosolino, Seth MacFarlane, and Frank Sinatra.
Completing the band was Jimmy Z who played sax and harmonica for Etta James, Tom Petty, Ziggy Marley, Rod Stewart, the Eurythimics, Carole King, Ringo Starr and Bon Jovi.
Shelly Berg, five time Grammy nominee who played with Aretha Franklin, James Taylor, Ray Charles and Count Basie said Angelina is "one of the most amazing talents I've seen come along in my career and I've been doing this a while."
Oh yeah, Rob Christie, Republic Records' L.A. studio manager, two time Grammy winner and Angelina's mentor at Republic was on guitar and he never runs out of good things to say about her. He is, by the way, the piano player in this video.

Adele created an amazing song and sang it wonderfully. For me when Angelina sings it, it touches and moves me more. Adele writes about her own hardship and parts of the song are reflection of Angelina’s experiences I imagine, especially the chorus being in the stardom spotlight for half of her life. I also like these intimate settings where you can here every breath and whisper. At the same time the live TV show recording of ‘Feeling good’ with a big band is amazing as well. Good to see you again Harri. It's so surprising when one goes back and looks at Angelina's earlier music and then realize that they all stand on their own as being beautiful songs. For the most part, I don't see an artist who needs to improve to be in the competitive music business but rather, sensational songs that I simply can't imagine her doing them any better. In fact, IMO, many of her earlier songs are amongst the best that she has to offer.

when I first watched Adele's video, I was so deeply moved. The video was well produced to tell Adele's story. The song and the music are typical Adele's trademark beauty. The other day, however, when I listened to Adele's Easy on Me on the radio, I will be honest in saying that Adele's singing prowess has declined and it detracts from her beautiful song. I'd rather listen to Angelina's cover. Her vocal rendition alone tells Adele's story better than Adele could.

Harri I fell in love with this girl and her world view the first notes of her Acapella version of 'I'm A Fool To Want You'. This song is just the latest in an amazing journey through the world as she sees it. Harri, I'm giving you a link to a TikTok entry she had a couple weeks ago that has struck me deeply. It has become my favorite of her efforts so far. It is least affected song she has sung in a while. I enjoy all that Angelina can do with her voice to give her vocals something fresh and different, but my favorites are when she sings it straight. Her versions of, 'Feeling Good' at 10 years old, also her version of, 'I Feel Good', then there is, 'It's A Man's World' at 12. These are just a few examples of her singing straight-forward. This cover of Adele's, 'Easy On Me' is another that is a relatively straight-forward approach to her music. Please do not confuse my preference for not liking her other efforts where her influences on her music like Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse, I think even Norah Jones, each of these singers had vocal qualities that Angelina had fun singing employing these vocal characteristics. But it is her own voice I gravitate to the most. So here is a 2:00 minute version of Adele's 'Love Is A Game' That has really grabbed me. Maybe it will work on you too.

Don't know how to say this without upsetting the masses, but I'm not a fan of hers. She is talented and can warble a decent tune, but throughout my years of hearing many many different talented artists, I've heard better vocalists get pushed to the wayside because the lack of social media. I truly believe her massed fame comes from a social media platform, which is to say she is a viral sensation. I give her credit for not being a flash in the pan, and through hard work at her craft keeping her fans before the next person just like her becomes an overnight sensation like her. Sorry just one man's opinion.
I've listened to 10s of thousands of singers in the last 40 years. Angelina is the one. Every time someone claims they've heard better, and actually gives an example, I check it out and find nothing that can match her ability. I would have to go back to Billie Holiday to feel anything like what Angelina does.

That most of the big labels wanted to sign a contract.
These few people are certainly strongly influenced by social networks, especially Quincy Jones who only worked with Franck Sinatra and Michael Jackson.

If he knew anything about this young lady he would know she has not been an "overnight sensation", considering she entered Norway's Got Talent at 7 years old, and won it all, just after turning 8 years old. That she has sang for the Nobel prize laureates, sang at Quincy Jones 85th birthday celebration after being personally invited, (and called the best child singer he had seen since Michael Jackson) or that she opened for Nora Jones in South Korea at 10 years old and performed dozens of concerts, raising millions for children in need, turned down numerous offers from recording companies (including Disney) before being signed by Republic Records at 14 years old, and has over a billion views on Facebook and millions on TH-cam, and singing for a new movie as her latest accomplishment, but yeah, she's just an overnight sensation. 🤣🤣😆😂 It says a lot about his opinion. 😉
