This is the first in depth showcase that I've seen of drawing on the surface book, thank you! I've seen a lot of videos that are harsh on the surface book's drawing capabilities, but they only ever show quick stroke patterns. Seeing what you were able to do with this definitely assures me that I can work with it!

Great vid - thanks for this: had been saving for months, to buy one - Labour-Day weekend, in New Zealand so can get one, on special, till Monday - about a thousand bucks off. Still had misgivings about spending the money: so many mixed reviews and brand comparisons.
All I want one for, is to have a large portable screen for drawing. My favourite app is Autodesk because can turn it on and just start drawing.
Getting an actual artist's impressions and to see it in action has helped me to bite the bullet - just ordered the high-end Book 3.

Very knowledgeable technical review from a well informed man! I was thinking that this will be a simple drawing demo but this is actually one of the most insugthful reviews on using Surface Book 1 in 2019 on the TH-cam. Thank you man, I ordered a renewed SB1 with performance base for a really good price, really giddy to try it out when it gets to me in Moscow from the sunny CA =]

I like the longer videos but that's just me
jermaineashe some do and some do not. Either way I try to provide a variety. The review vids are longer because I try to review...and then draw to show the device. Thanks for watching:)

Since the tablet/screen section doesn’t have inputs for the dongle I thought it may not. I’m thinking about buying a used surface book 1. Thank you, have a wonderful Holiday Season!
Yes…it does. The quick key device uses a usb Bluetooth dongle. I have used my quick key device with all my surface devices since SP2. I currently use it on my surface studio pro. All good.

Surface book 2. Better updated drawing tech. Bigger screen.

@@MichaelClaridaArts ofc im staying here,im using note 10 for art and im really happy with it but i cant compare to to anything becouse before i only used budget wacom tablet (one by wacom).I didnt expect note 10 to replace it but it did xD
what kind of pen grip do you have on your surface pen?
I added a matte screen protector to my SB too, and it made a world of difference. Now i just need a grip that makes the pen feel more like a Wacom lol. Thanks in advance! Nice video!
they are made by casebot...Amazon. I got two in the order. They work great...but do not allow for the pen to fit in the holder on my case very well or be magnetized to the machine. It is a trade off. M
