This is the best review i had ever watched - over an hour long and I watched it all. You are great at talking over everything you are doing and just enjoyed listening to you and watching you draw. Love your drawings. Have been looking at a mobile solution for drawing on the go and have one of these on my wishlist now after watching this. Thanks very much!

    Hi Michael,
Thank you very much for this review! I got answers to the questions I had. I have been looking for a device that is not Android, iOS, or MacOS, but affordable and easy to use. Basically I want to draw on it, but it's okay if it runs a full-fledged operating system with full-fledged applications. On another channel, they had a positive opinion about the use of the S Pen and how good this Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 is for drawing. However, thanks to your videos that are not 10 minutes long, here you can actually see yourself drawing, not just drawing vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines on the screen. You made an exhaustive video, it helped me a lot and I thank you again for this!

I would love to! The items you have mentioned cost a considerable amount of money. I am still working on the channel to grow the subscribers…and will eventually be able to review such machines. The companies will sometimes send machines for free…other times not so easy. I am working on it! Thank you for the comment.

Hello!) I really liked your review. I am an artist myself and also make storyboards for animation. On the Internet, I mostly see tests of such devices in the Photoshop program, but nowhere are there tests for the Toon Boom Storyboard pro program, popular among storyboard artists. Could you do a review or just check for me how the galaxy book works in storyboard pro? Will the pressure sensitive stylus work there? Because, for example, on an Acer Ezel laptop, pressure sensitivity in storyboard pro does not work.

    Hi Michael
Im really confused between samsung galaxy book 2 pro and the 360 one . Im looking for 15.6 in both models. My main doubts
    1. Do they both perform the same if the configurations are same. Like CPU and RAM.
    2. Can any long term user point out the performance of the hinge of both of these laptops.
    3. Is the dolby available on both of them. Like i saw the 360 at bestbuy and enabling the dolby was just superb . Would that be the same for book 2 pro.
    4. Can long term users also confirm the heating of both of these. I will mainly use this for productivity and coding. I dont game a lot . But consume a lot of online content .. videos etc..
    5. If i ever choose GB2 pro over the 360(with same cpu and Ram) . Am i losing just the touch screen?? Or are there more differences
Considering how long term users tell their experience, i can really sacrifice on the 360 and touch screen and go for the GB2 pro

Galaxy book 2 360. The pro model comes with a pen. This does not. You have to buy the pen separately. The pro also has a higher resolution camera. The pro has a bump in performance and higher storage. This literally 95 percent of the pro model…and a bit cheaper. Here are the specs: www.samsung.com/us/computing/galaxy-books/compare/

I love my Book2 Pro 360. I am a pro artist myself. However, I have noticed that my Photoshop freezes from time to time. I think it's a Photoshop issue rather than the device, as it doesnt happen when I use Clip Studio Paint Pro. That's what is distracting my workflow when I work remotely. Hi Michael, great review as always! Since our minds apparently revolve around the never ending quest for the one single perfect device that does it all for us illustrators and artists, I rented one of those for 4 weeks to get real life experience.
You spoke from my heart when you mentioned the missing globalized pressure curve setting, because I was looking for the very same item and had to realize it just wasn´t there. In everything MS Surface, there is actually a globalized pressure curve in the Surface preferences box. Their pen tech may not be entirely on par with what´s in the Samsung devices, but they got this down.
Sidenote: On the MS Surface Pro 8 under Windows 11 I was even able to get Photoshop CS6 running and recognizing pen pressure, after installing the appropriate WinTab driver.
The Samsung Galaxy Book 360 Pro runs with Windows ink as the pen driver, and though PS CS6 runs in principle w/o problems, it will not recognize pen pressure because Windows Ink was introduced long after CS6 and is just not compatible.
If I understand you correctly, PS Creative Cloud runs w/o any issues on this device, despite it having just Intel Iris Ex graphics?! I´ve been wondering whether integrated graphics also gets a boost in performance with each new generation of Intel CPUs. Going from 11th gen CPUs to 12th or 13th gen seems to be quite a jump in performance, so maybe integrated graphics benefits from that proportionately.
Maybe you have more information on that point.
The new Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 is around the corner, and I´m curious what specs it will sport this time. Supposedly, it will have Intel´s 13th gen CPUs and a new display with something like 2800 x 1800 pixels resolution. Besides that though not much else will have changed. It still tops out at 16gb Ram, and 1tb hd space, and no dedicated GPU.
I´m kinda thinking that a MS Surface Laptop Studio coupled with a Wacom 16 (pro or non-pro) might be the ideal mobile set up, not in the least because of dedicated graphics in the Surface device. But of course that´s one more device to lug around than I´d like to have ideally.
But first I´ll see what the reviews regarding the 3rd iteration of this product will be like. And hopefully we´ll get reliable rumors about an upcoming MS Surface Laptop Studio 2 not too long after....

    • @MichaelClaridaArts
      @MichaelClaridaArts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thanks for the longer comment:) I believe that these machines with the different architecture will eventually eliminate the need for a graphics card. The machine uses all the components harmoniously and no longer need the fragmentation of Ram/cpu/gpu as separate entities. They all work as one. I have a Mac m1 mini with 16gb of Ram and it is very capable at everything I throw at it. It out performs my i7 Mac with 32 go of Ram with a 6gb graphics card and uses much less power and creates less heat. The Samsung has similarities to the M1 Mac as the components are shared. It really is a very neat technology. We will see how the next machines drive. The screen is less than my SLS in hrtz refresh and pixel density but at that scale…I really cannot tell. The pen tech is really the star of the machine. It is very good. With it running my Adobe programs as good as it does…we will see how it compares to the competition this year. It really is a leap forward in mobile computing.

@@MichaelClaridaArts Thanks! So it would appear that integrated graphics grow a little more powerful with each CPU iteration. I´d be surprised if Samsung didn´t introduce 120Hz refresh, or maybe something like dynamic refresh (like the iPad Pro). In a few days we´ll know more. And I agree, the S-Pen feels better and more organic than both Slim Pen 2 and Apple pencil.
