Recently bought one. I imeditly went to 3s installing the battery tray riser.I ran without changing the pinion gear but after a run on only 75% transmitter setting the motor was very hot. It was about 70° F outside. So.... I decided to change the pinion gear as recommended. The grub scew was so tight I bent the allen wrench getting it loose. The pinion gear would not come off! I had to manufacture a gear puller to get it off. Changed the gear, runs great and no motor overheating. Love the car but changing the pinion was BS

my tt pro gets really hot on 3s with a 13t pinion and zero timing with a fan. it got up in the 170's. not sure why. i do have badlands on mine with a patched up body so its pretty heavy.

Which one did you end up choosing? I really want the Lazernut since they’re on sale for $399 rn, my favorite looking RC car out there. From what I’ve researched tho, maybe I should get the DB pro lol. I like it as well but if I had to pick without owing them it’s be Lazernut all day. Hearing a lot of issues with them tho 😕

Kept the DB Pro and sold the lasernut. Lasernut looks cooler but is overall weaker and performs worse.
