That’s actually a pretty good analogy. It has definitely taken me time to acclimate to this kind of music, but now that I have, I can’t get enough of it. Though, unlike spicy food, this doesn’t burn my ass a few hours after listening to it, which is always nice.
The part from 1:52 --> 3:00 really took me by suprice, really astounding melodic, cathy and with lots of feeling. Over all great job guys!

just discovered this band last night and i'm obsessed. the speed is so impressive but that's not even what gets me. it's incredibly well-written metal. they use their talents not to do cheap tricks but to write killer music that's fun to listen to, melodic, thoughtful. haven't heard a band that changed my outlook like this in a long time.
I'm just waiting for all the guitar/drum/bass/vocal playthroughs. those are what make bands like this really shine.

This track's definitely pretty dissonant for Archspire standards, specifically in the "they will take us now" parts. That bass solo at 1:52 and the riff following it absolutely blows my mind as well

I am finding it very hard to Stay Tech when you guys keep raising the bar. I felt I was staying tech and then this shit drops and suddenly I do not feel all that tech anymore.
I finally thought my brain was starting to be able to catch up to the vocals lol like hey I might be able to scream along to this, until 1:10 in when he says, "Nothing Ever Written Could Define The Hell to Follow". Now that I've been put back in my place I can go back to relistening with pure shock and awe for the second of probably 100 more times.

Real talk: I’m listening to this and it’s spoiling everything else I used to listen to by making it sound boring. I’m not sure how to slow down after hearing kick-you-in-the-dick music like this.

People arguing over the tempo. Trust the word of an established, more talented and overall more knowledgeable band. They know more then most people commenting. 180 and 360 are basically the same thing. They use 360 to keep them tighter with limited space for hiccups at this speed. 180 is for guitar pro and its limitations.

Still not totally my thing, or my usual taste, but I'm pretty impressed with this band having heard this, The Golden Mouth of Ruin, and Drone Corpse Aviator. Some very interesting elements at play that suit each other nicely. I'm heavily considering giving the full album a listen, and perhaps some of their older material if it's of similar quality. I'm particularly impressed with the vocalist's technique. Not the widest range or the most punch, but still fits the heaviness of the music, and his ability to speed up, slow down, and remain at a similar tempo to the instrumental is very cool. Guitar work and drumming, also quite sick, pretty wild.
Is it just me or does the mastering come across kind of muddy? Almost like a lo-fi sound I'd expect from old-school Black Metal. Great track, just don't know if I'm on board with the sound.

I love the band. Musically immaculate and Oli's vocals are the cleanest and most articulate in the genre.
