Really? It's one of the most popular watercolor techniques though. And a standard for ink techniques, especially alcohol inks (copic markers etc).

Yes, I did find this hard and almost thought of giving up at one point. Mine is not as good as yours right now. But eventually I'll go back and do touch ups. Looks lovely :)
Wow amazing project! I absolutely loved all the layers you added to build the painting, it was wonderful to see it come to life & you were right, the glazing was amazing! When you added the glazing I just sighed and was thinking, wow that really made the painting serene, so at peace. Great teaching by the way, please do more watercolor tutorials!! I like that you do what works for the painting but also that you put your own creativity in. sometimes with This kind of nature tutorials i feel that the feeling is lost but not with you🙏🏻

words you used to describe the mountains made sense to me. Higher areas of the mountains in direct
sunlight need to be lighter colors and lower areas in shadows need to be darker

I have the same Kuretake palette, which i love. But the challenge is, the colours are very vibrant. I like how you mute them down and they end up looking so different.

this is such a beautiful painting!! I'm much more used to oil/acrylic and have always struggled with watercolor, and I think it's because I'm not as patient as you hahaha! you did such a great job explaining your process, I can't wait to try this for myself!!
Heyy thank you so much for being here, actually I find oils to be super hard, I tried to paint with them 4-5 years ago and I made a poop mess haha but I would love to try again, I find oil-acrylics to be such a different medium compared to watercolors but all are so beautiful and can get different results with each 🖤 yes please try it out I would love to see what you create , kisses!

I genuinely believe that your "easy beginners" tutorial is not particularly easy, yet NEEDED. As a beginner one has to go through basic techniques, yes. But after the basic I think every "beginner friendly" tutorial is pretty much repetitive and has nothing to offer rather than just different subjects to paint. So I personally value tutorials like yours and do recommend for beginners and do urge you to keep doing them!

not sure if i like the glaze because it looks like you watch the scene through colourd glass and not like its the actual color of the scene. when its dried its not as extreme but for me it is noticable, but maybe its just me. one should definitly add details again on top of the glaze
also for beginners: be careful with pure white or black. just mix it with the apopriate colour to make the highlights or shadows.
