So this painting is YOURS! I've seen the first one on pinterest and totally loved it, and always wondered who it was from and how the sun optic was created... I'm so glad I found it here!
There are so, so, so many excellent watercolor teachers and instructional videos available. Mako is my one of my favorites and her instruction is spot on. Thank you Mako!
Hi.... I was very happy last sunday to pass by your video. I have manage to create my own version of your work. I am not good with watercolor or mixing it. But thru your I was inspired. You work fast. I have done 4 paintings last sunday afternoon. Thank you very much.... I learned a lot.
Thank you so much, makoccino! I wanted to make a small poster for youth Sunday group saying "I am the light of the world." I copied your sun with the wheat as you have on the left, and it turned out pretty good! I do not consider myself a painter buy am wanting to learn now. Thank you for teaching us here without charge.
Well how fun are these two small paintings? I love your easy tips for us to get such spectacular results. I will have to try using these techniques. Thank you for all the wonders you paint for us to learn from.
Thank you for this! My biggest issue with watercolor is just having ideas in general T__T it feels like a ton of planning so you don’t make things too dark/thick and then I get too overwhelmed to even start. Seeing how others start their paintings off really helps jog ideas

This was so helpful! Recently over the summer I’ve been practicing my art because I’m doing art for my GCSEs and have been looking for new techniques. Thank you!
I'm the first one???!!! Oh joy, rapture!!!!!!!!!!! Well if I could draw, color and paint that is. Seriously, I am returning to art in my own feeble way fro 54 years ago. I'm amazed at what I cannot do. I do so appreciate your talents and your slow, guided approach to introducing the arts to everyone. Beats the "Auctioneer" standard of this speed draw??? I am going to enjoy this segment, then see about joining your dedicated following. I need some serious remedial education. Ta!
You inspired me to make an art using water color. Thank you so much for all these knowledge, skills and tips. Special the " cheat sheets " those helped me a lot as a person who doesn't have much knowledge about water color. Thank you again. More power. 😘
It's amazing how easy you make this all look! I'm new to art in general and have never been good at drawing but am gonna try my hand at watercolor. We'll see how it goes. This was super helpful!
LOVE your videos, thank you so much for sharing your skills! I wonder if you can show how many times you are wetting your paper in this video, as it leads me to believe that you only wet it once and then just use a wet brush with paint? thanks
All your tips are very nice and easy to follow. One thing I would like to point out. The sun is usually red when is setting, especially in that kind of reddish sunset that you painted. It appears to be white or slightly yellow only in photos. The camera could never get that bright unique red sun in the photos. But a painter could. :)
Dear Mako, you are the best Art teacher I could have hoped for! The way you explain colour theory and techniques, your tips&tricks and even your soothing voice make your videos a real pleasure to watch! Thank you for reawakening my love for watercolour painting!
I love your works. I'm not good at everything so I'm trying to at least find one and if I can paint too. I tried doing your works well mine's not that good but I enjoyed doing it. Thank you!

A 78-year-old newbie is faced with all the materials, and I think your video gave me the gumption to finally use them. Thanks ever so much, Makoccino!
It's never too late to try something new! I hope your journey into painting will bring you much joy and happiness, good luck and have a lovely day! ^_^

That white you dropped onto the piece at the end was so amazing! I love that effect. I just really love, most of all, the crispness in your sections.
Thank you so much, makoccino! I wanted to make a small poster for youth Sunday group saying "I am the light of the world." What a fun and easy lesson! Haven't tried it yet but this artist makes it looks manageable.
You have such confident strokes!! And I didnt even know there were so many colors.
The book, "The Zen of Creative Painting" is cool too.
Also, an artist, Annie Murphy Springer, uses colours I love.

Hey, AWESOME ART😍 what's the size of the sheet you used?
I think the sharp lines on the second painting looked good, like treetops in the distance. I've added this video to my art tutorials playlist. 😊
