Guys if you get this phone make sure you install either google launcher or Nova launcher because the Huawei launcher isn't that great. I would prefer Nova Launcher and believe me you would feel like you're using an expensive device. Also, you can get Android Marshmallow icons with Nova. I hope this is useful for anyone who owns this device :)

- Is it possible to upgrade to Android 6 MArshmallow?
- Is it possible to remove the EMUI and use the standard Android UI instead?
As a side note, is impressing it has so many analog sensors (temp, light, compass and so on)

thanks for watching. In canada i belie that the phone is using the 1700 and 2600 4G Bands. No updates available and you would have to flash a new rom to get rid of EMUI
Nice review.
But, if you want to improve :
- Do a few B rolls with camera, also take the phone outside, record it in a way to show it off.
- By watching this it seams that you are saying everything from your head, you should maybe create some notes about the phone and just follow them, make it look smother- like you know every single thing about the phone and talk just a little bit faster and clearer (your english is understandable, but it can be just a little bit better-sharper )
- Multitasking - you haven't include that in this review and I watched one more review from you and you also didn't do multitasking. It's important to include it - especially in mid-lower tier phones ( if someone can't decide between two phones, and one shows better multitasking - it'll help him make a choice )
Overall - you can become really "popular". You need to make your channel little bit more professional - you know - make better intro. Include some better camera shots. Watch some other reviewers see what they are doing, take their idea and make it better.
You got a sub from me. I hope you'll continue to improve. And also continue making videos about mid-low tier phones. You are a good reviewer and there aren't many good reviewers that review these kinds of phones - big thumbs up for that !

+Redskull Have you ever watched channels like phone arena, mkbhd ? If you did, you could notice that they're talking about phone but they aren't holding it hand all the time, sometimes you see phone lying somewhere in a park, or on some rock or on a desk and camera slowly passes by. It's nothing special but it adds to the quality of the video. I hope that I managed to explain what a b-roll is.

i know what you mean now :) however, they do record the sound afterwords and than they match it with the video. That adds quite a lot of time to the production of a video. it does look nice indeed but unfortunately if you don't do youtube as a full time job , there isn't enough time to do that kind of detail for each video.

i was thinking about getting this or the moto e with my fido dollars before they take out fido dollars completely. i like the idea that this has better camera specs.

i actually have the moto e from fido... i would go with the huawei y6. Looks nicer , and feels more premium

What is the quality of GPS? I use my phone for GPS tracking for Strava app when cycling, so this is a very important issue for me. Did you manage to test it? Any feedback?

I want to buy a smartphone (I now have a 20 dollar phone which I've had for years but feel I should finally update), but I mainly want to use it for music. I'm planning on buying a 32GB extra micro SD card also. but is this phone good for music? does it work with all types of files (mp3, wma, etc.)? and can you just copy the files onto your phone from your computer or how does it work? I also could use a new good phone so I would use it for the other function too and not just for music.
+SMDC2000 it is an ok phone. Works with all types of music. You just copy the files from the computer on to the sd card in the phone, very easy, drag and drop

wow, you got a lot of smart phone reviews...I'm wondering do you have a recommendation on the best sub-$100 (Canadian dollars) smart phone available now?
and also do you buy all these items yourself? and if you do, do you keep them or sell them right away? noticed you're local to me (I'm in Cambridge) and so wondering if I can maybe buy some cheap stuff from you? :)
so far the 'HomTom HT7' looks like the best sub-100 dollar smartphone I've found so far but there are so many different ones available right now
also, for anyone reading this, has anyone tried using one of these cheap smartphones as a offline GPS navigation unit while driving? what is the best app available that is free that gives directions, turn by turn voice, etc.?
+openmindedproduction yes, i am from Cambridge, and pretty much everything that comes on the channel i sell locally after :) If you are with Rogers, fido, petro-canada mobility or 7-11, i suggest getting the Bluboo Picasso. It was a really good phone.

Its an awesome bang for the bucks product, unless you want to play advanced games on it. For phone, sms, music, movies, internet, social media and medio games like usual facebook games or turn based games etc it works perfect. My only con with this is that it cant play advanced games, but I then again never play videogames longer except simple games on occasion. One thing I do miss on this device tho is Gyroscope, It has GPS and that does the job, but gyroscope would be nice. For this price you cant complain, It has some cool features as mentioned in the review, and for normal phone use, movies, music, network and 4G and rather good battery imo its awesome bang for the bucks

+Johnsont2013 I got zte grand x plus last saturday and returned it today because it is a little bulky and the design isn't that great. I exchanged it with Huawei Y6 which is $99 here in Canada with Fido while ZTE Grand is $150. I gotta tell you, Y6 is way better than Grand X Plus. The design feels way premium than Grand X and it has a lot of other small features. If you get Y6, make sure you install Nova Launcher on it because the Huawei launcher isn't that great and with Nova Launcher you feel like you're using an expensive device and you also get Android Marshmallow icons.
