I will never say no to a scopedog, the rocket booster noises and the sheer flex of having something blaze around at ground level decimating units is so enjoyable
I don't even know if two distinct Getter Teams have ever been in the same mainline SRW game. Really looking forward to see if the "Shin Dynamic Special" is real as well.
An actual treat indeed, unexpected original units and a big list indeed! Wonder how the story overall is gonna finish tbh
If DBZ and half-minute hero have thoughts us anything... Those last 3 minutes of the universe are at least 15 hours worth of content
Trombe is apparently not gonna be selectable as a BGM based on what I've heard but I guess we'll see in afew days. That said at least we'll still have the option to put Trombe as a custom BGM so thats at least something!

I love the Scopedog 30's design except for one part: The claw. It extending horizontally feels... Weird for me. The way it's attached doesn't look right.
The rest of the look feels like a streamlined fusion of Chirico's other dogs, but the claw's the fly in the ointment.
I'd rather it had one like Shako's shield so it could serve as a shield too
Considering how deep continuity gets between Banpresto titles, I'm really hoping that Sanger gets some interactions with the Sakura Wars cast as a nod to the first Project x Zone.

I hope Super Expert Plus is doable on a fresh run, I gonna try out a few stages on NG to test.
After that test, i should prob finish the main story, then plan a Super Expert Plus run to see if they really mean "Extremely difficult" and "different kind of playthrough"
I wondered what they meant by recommended on NG+, but I bet it's going to be brutal if you start a fresh run without any bonuses
The important part to me is not being able to change difficulty mid game, so atleast it'll force me to go through it from the beginning. I really hope the new items are notable and really, really strong

@@tricky2795 Huh, I figured it would've been with the free update. That's really unfortunate if that's true. I'll probably start my playthrough this weekend and stream it though

Super stoked to play with Getter-1 (Devolution), Ultimate Dancouga, and the SRX with its new attack. Hope the Super Expert Plus mode delivers.
Also, could you cover the 10 special Super Expert Plus parts when they release? Akurasu hasn't updated the parts section of the wiki for a very long time and it might be interesting to know what effects they have and when they are obtained.
This update is gonna be a breath of fresh air for the game for sure!
And yeah I'll go over the new items when I get them, hopefully they're really notable and not just rehashes of already existing items
This game is a blast on the steam deck
1:10 there was red shoulder unit that do the crossbow pile bunker weapon but the bow was on the right arm and the ammo was on the right leg
Last game with Dancougar was OE not Z2.2
Still a really long time. Very happy it's back.
This is correct, though to be fair OE is pretty hard to slot in with the overall series since it never really got finished, and most people tend to forget about it's existence lol
But yeah, glad to see it back with a glorious new unit

its hard to read the japanese in the eshop, what are the 4,400 valued items? i got the dlc 1 and 2. no clue what the others are.
i look so forward too this update im still on my og normal diff run bin waiting for all the DLC to come out too finish the game.
at some point maybe i could pick your brain about what units i use that might be dead weight in higher diffs
Same! Update is gonna be great, and I can't wait to see who shows up as the real final boss
All I can say for now for higher difficulty is real types have a really rough time, enemies have higher accuracy so you can't rely on evasion, and things hit harder, so super types have a much better time

Even expert on fresh new game in space route can be tough for newcomer because you have no decent tank/healer/damage dealer (a few times in modern SRW you might want to use heal spirit), so super expert plus for fresh new game might turn this game to A Portable. Not a fun time.
Having done expert at launch, This is only really true on the space route. It’s incredible how keeping a truncated roster early on benefits you so much in the long run.
You end the tutorial on Earth with two robots and your ship, and you’ve already got a tank/healer in Kojinana. And because all of the missions that you get on earth route give you but a single robot, it is very easy to inflate your kill count for future aces.
Meanwhile, in Space Route, you end Mission 1 with a V Gundam that is next to useless early on, And immediately get flooded with roster bloat in the Hexa/Gunblasters and the Rabbits Team. It makes the early game a nightmare for space route, because you don’t have access to repair or a decent tank until the Route Merge.
@@BlitzkriegOmega Definitely remembering using V/Hexa Vulcans to bring down mid-boss's mobility, then surrounding her for damage bonus to finish her off. At least emphasizing the S in SRPG that happened the only in the beginning of a new game.
I guess we won't get a 4-man Gattai in this game. Guess my hopes will remain for the next game.
Hello i want to ask why am i cannot buy this dlc on switch it said not for sale?
.... I am gonna go ahead and make the following prediction:
True Final Boss is Iris, the Lucky Fairy. And during the boss fight, Also a certain someone comes back for that true final battle, either in a repaired Gravalin or a salvaged (and weakened) Ultim Fini.
I always thought the fairy was weird, that would be one hell of a reveal lol
Either that or it'll be someone like Euzeth or Ingram just to really make the connection to previous games all the more relevant!
hmm, speaking of the leak there was always one line that really confused me "the pilot is an invader" that's what google translate and someone who read chinese said the line translated to. it seems to be in reference to Getter Robo Armageddon from the sounds of it yet I'm not sure, was it ever figured out what that line meant?
I'm not sure myself, I remember seeing that but the leak had a pretty shoddy translation so I've just been waiting until things revealed themselves naturally

@@Xeno-The-Wanderer as far as I know everything else checks out, but we can assume the Armageddon thing has to do with Devolution since Armageddon hasn't had much relevance in the game, so maybe they'll be playing with the two very closely
i hope they rethink their stance on Switch and give the game a global release, i had to import this and getting the DLCs for this game is more money than buying the game :|

I too wish that the console versions got the global release and not just Steam, even though I myself bought it through Steam
And yeah, the Super Expert Plus is part of the free update
still sad there is no grendaizer and final dynamic special. for the 30th anniversary game, that really is a missed opportunity. i hope its added at some point, but im not going to hold my breath at this point
When does this release on the western steam storefront?
It released on April 20th, it's the "SUPER ROBOT WARS 30 - EXPANSION PACK" for $24.99, season pass does not come with it, or the digital deluxe edition

@@rabidrivas yeah the community for the most part refers to it as "DLC 3" but it's really the "Expansion Pack" lol

Still unsure if I'll jump through the hoops to get the DLC, even though there's a lot of cool stuff in there, especially with this update. Hopefully the real final boss gives a better showing than what the base game's did

Yes, if you bought the other DLC, you'll get this the same way. Otherwise, you'll want a Japanese account to buy it

Yeah, no more plans for DLC at this point. They may do some small free updates, but that's about it

@@KingofGoatsGGG Set 1 is available as of the 13th (when the DLC was announced) Set 2 is everything else being released on the 20th

To be fair we just had 3 games with Judau and the ZZ in so its not too bad.
