Tati can do at least 4 octaves of growl. She went nowhere near as low as she can go, nor did she go as high. And that's just the growl, which she can just turn off and back on. She's no Floor when it comes to cleans, but her combo leaves her in a very small, and amazingly talented group of women. What really sets Jinjer apart is the rest of the band. You were seeing it on the peripheral, but they are all amazingly talented, and the music they produce is unique. . Great reaction guys!
That’s impressive! 4 octaves of cleans is already pretty good. 4 octaves of growls is awesome. Yeah, since hearing them the first time just been blown away. We did a second one which is coming out soon. Been very impressed and really dig the vibe.

Gotcha! Great reaction guys, the latest in a long line, and one of the better ones. I've been a Jinjer fan for less than a year, and I stumbled upon them on TH-cam like you. It was love at first listen for this old school headbanger. I immediately dove down the rabbit hole, and found a wealth of amazing songs and awesome musicianship. I was fortunate to catch Jinjer live just weeks after discovering them. I was already hooked, but that sealed the deal. They're a juggernaut in concert. You can see all the people recommending Perennial Live at Wacken Open Air, and as soon as you see a live performance you'll understand why. It's a bit hard to believe your eyes the first time you see what Tatiana can do, it seems like it must be a gimmick, a studio trick, surely it's two different people. When you see her pull it off fully live, it's even more impressive and shocking. And yeah, the band. I'm a pro bassist for 45 years, and Eugene the bassist kicks my ass. He's up there with the Steve Harrises and the Ryan Martinies and the Geddy Lees. Drummer Vlad taught himself to play drums just in the past few years, after starting as a classical pianist and learning several instruments. He apparently writes a lot of their complex compositions. Roman the guitarist is mind boggling with his precision picking and advanced composition skills. He's like Alex Lifeson on crack. They all get dirty nasty tones and are super innovative on their instruments. And best of all, all of that skill is melded into an overall unit of such cohesiveness and precision that it's like a classical symphony of metal. Tatiana's voice is the hook that grabs you initially, but it's also another instrument in the ensemble that is Jinjer! Enjoy the ride! And by all means, catch Jinjer live immediately! They're currently touring America opening for Disturbed and Breaking Benjamin. But they've also booked a simultaneous headlining tour of smaller venues in between the arena shows! Those are the ones to catch! These guys are more exciting than Disturbed. In fact they're the most exciting band I've heard in a long time.

It's actually not a fry scream. It all epiglottal and vestibular fold growl. Absolutely atonal...zero vocal chord production. What Tati is so good at, is using her vocal tract, everything above her voice box, to manipulate the size and shape of the resonant space to create those higher scream like growls, and deep guttural growls. Watch her face shape when she makes different "pitch" growls.

Very well practiced yes, very well trained, no. She's entirely self taught and freely admits she has no clue what she's doing or how. Also, when she first started screaming, she hated that she sounded feminine, so she taught herself to scream masculine instead.

It's actually not a fry scream. It all epiglottal and vestibular fold growl. Absolutely atonal...zero vocal chord production. What Tati is so good at, is using her vocal tract, everything above her voice box, to manipulate the size and shape of the resonant space to create those higher scream like growls, and deep guttural growls. Watch her face shape when she makes different "pitch" growls.
